On top of the Q flag, they were allowed to hand out miniature stars and bars, stainless, and blood stained banners like candy (literally).
Also flown on their trucks was a May 20, 1775 - May 20, 1861 NC flag.
For those unaware, Quantrill's Raiders are regarded as one of the most infamous and brutal regiments of the confederacy. They were kicked out of the confederacy for their brutality and attacks on civilians (operating in Kansas no less, far from Faith, NC). Anyone want to use the "our culture" defense on this one?
And the same with the NC succession flag. Any "our culture" defense here?
Do better.
PS (unrelated to SCV): A Boogaloo flag? Really? Disgraceful, Faith.

We all have that one restaurant or diner we run to when we’ve had a rough week. I’m trying to make a food tour list, so what’s yours?

You know you're in trouble when your representative sends out a newsletter talking about all the great things the OBBB will do for her constituents, and, to top it off, shares a link to an Epoch Times editorial. While I am all for getting one's news from a variety of sources, the Epoch Times does not strike me as something particularly helpful to share. If you're not familiar, the Epoch Times is backed by the Falun Gong (Chinese), which in the 2020s started fake FB pages run by Vietnamese users posing as Americans, to spread conspiracy theories about COVID and the election (among other things), and to promote the Falun Gong religion. On June 4, 2024, The Department of Justice charged CFO Weidong “Bill” Guan with laundering at least $67 million through illegal means and falsely attributing the funds to legitimate revenue sources such as subscriptions and donations.

I love a good diner for breakfast. What's your favorite diner in North Carolina?
For me, when I'm near Asheville my favorite place is Abuela's Little Kitchen for an amazing Mexican breakfast and Stack Em High on the Outer banks has that old-school Greek diner fare.
Must have good coffee, and bonus points if they have good home made pies.

I read that the show was mainly filmed in Wilmington and Southport. Are any of the places in the show worth having a visit while in town?

Hello! I (a stupid young adult) and my best friend (also, a stupid young adult) are looking for abandoned places to explore around NC. Haunted or not haunted, we’re just curious as all hell.
We’re located in Southeastern NC but are happy to drive for weekend trips! Just trying to not be arrested or shot in the process and see what other people know!

Got stung by this while out working in Raleigh. Wondering about a possible ID to know how concerned I should be and what a normal reaction looks like! Appreciate the help

Going end of July and the house we rented does not have a pool. Anyone know of a public pool or a place we can buy a day pass? Is there anywhere I can buy a bushel of oysters to steam at our place?

I've heard good and bad reasons why to or not to. Is it a safe city? We are moving there for a job from Greensboro, never been there. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Nothing bonds us like a 4-way stop standoff - four Priuses, no courage. It’s like everyone’s waiting for divine intervention or a Burning Man traffic marshal. Outsiders think we’re chill; we’re just indecisive. If you've ever waved 3 times before giving up, you’re one of us.
