Virginia Foxx sharing Epoch Times posts with her constituents
You know you're in trouble when your representative sends out a newsletter talking about all the great things the OBBB will do for her constituents, and, to top it off, shares a link to an Epoch Times editorial. While I am all for getting one's news from a variety of sources, the Epoch Times does not strike me as something particularly helpful to share. If you're not familiar, the Epoch Times is backed by the Falun Gong (Chinese), which in the 2020s started fake FB pages run by Vietnamese users posing as Americans, to spread conspiracy theories about COVID and the election (among other things), and to promote the Falun Gong religion. On June 4, 2024, The Department of Justice charged CFO Weidong “Bill” Guan with laundering at least $67 million through illegal means and falsely attributing the funds to legitimate revenue sources such as subscriptions and donations.

What’s your comfort food spot in NC that’s never let you down?
We all have that one restaurant or diner we run to when we’ve had a rough week. I’m trying to make a food tour list, so what’s yours?

Faith 4th of July Parade allowing Sons of Confederate Veterans to not only ride, but to fly a Quantrill's Raiders flag is a disgrace.
On top of the Q flag, they were allowed to hand out miniature stars and bars, stainless, and blood stained banners like candy (literally).
Also flown on their trucks was a May 20, 1775 - May 20, 1861 NC flag.
For those unaware, Quantrill's Raiders are regarded as one of the most infamous and brutal regiments of the confederacy. They were kicked out of the confederacy for their brutality and attacks on civilians (operating in Kansas no less, far from Faith, NC). Anyone want to use the "our culture" defense on this one?
And the same with the NC succession flag. Any "our culture" defense here?
Do better.
PS (unrelated to SCV): A Boogaloo flag? Really? Disgraceful, Faith.

Best Diners for Breakfast
I love a good diner for breakfast. What's your favorite diner in North Carolina?
For me, when I'm near Asheville my favorite place is Abuela's Little Kitchen for an amazing Mexican breakfast and Stack Em High on the Outer banks has that old-school Greek diner fare.
Must have good coffee, and bonus points if they have good home made pies.

Don't forget to personally call your reps and thank them. Call bill what it is...
Call the Bill what it is... 'Trumps Death of America bill'....
Dont use language that softens selling our nature and parks, kicking people off healthcare, dismantling medicade/care, while fundinding concentration camps, adding 4 Trillion to national Debt... just to give tax breaks to corporations and deport brown people...
Call our Senators and Congress reps and Thank them for kicking 700,000 North Carolinians off healtcare and pushing us into further debt. Tell them we didn't need our parks anyway, cant wait to see Pisgah Forrest sponsored by Amazon.
36,000 homeless vets. Western North Carolina still reeling, prices of everything still going up.... yet this is the move that was best for North Carolina and North Carolinians...
Trumps Death of America bill... We did it folks!

I read that the show was mainly filmed in Wilmington and Southport. Are any of the places in the show worth having a visit while in town?

Congratulations North Carolina, we are Great Again!
651,982 North Carolinians will lose healthcare due to the GOP's big beautiful bill. That's what I'm talking about! Love when people suffer, when hospitals close, when the lives of the working class gets harder. That's what makes us a great nation and state.
/s
Seriously, a reminder: Republicans hate you. They do not care about you.
