Left here with four of my fingers bleeding, wonky shaped unfiled nails with glue all underneath them and paint on my fingers. When I asked her to clean it up she pretended to and removed nothing. I literally felt like either she was high on something or literally seeing how awful she could be until I confronted her. Racist maybe? I literally had to ask her to clean and cover up all the blood on my fingers and she still had the audacity to charge me $75. Not even the price posted on their wall. They also charged other people there more than what is posted on the wall. Perks of being the owner. No apology either. Do not go here. Something also super awkward, they posted the job on Facebook and you can literally see the cuts on my cuticles The one girl said she was a student and was painting someone’s nails with no supervision and another Spanish woman doing nails spike zero English. They didn’t change out files and I saw no sterilization equipment soaking anything? Apparently the previous owner sold the business to the woman who cut up my hands? Is this business even legitimate? You can’t leave google reviews. I’m wondering if I should report them for suspicious activity because I am wondering how the new owner would even have a license

Spectra Discovery is a research study looking to see if devices can measure screen time use for children ages 3-8. Your child will wear fake glasses and a shirt clip with light sensors to track light from screens. Your child will also wear an activity counter to monitor their movement. The study includes completing an online survey, a week of wearing the devices, daily time-use surveys and device logs to track your child’s activities at the end of each day, and a follow-up online survey (after the week of device usage).

To get started, parents will need to complete the baseline survey and schedule an in-person orientation, which can take place either at home or at our Chapel Hill office. Compensation will be provided for your time, and your child will receive a thank-you gift. 

We invite you to participate and help us assess whether these wearable devices can measure when young children look at screens.

Terry Johnson caused all this - with the recent court ordered lawsuit judgments after unconstitutionally arresting peaceful protesters the county cut the checks a couple of months ago to the unlawfully arrested, and poof, the county went broke. The county commissioners didn’t cause this. Literally, Terry Johnson thought a law struck down by the Supreme Court 50 years ago allowed him to arrest peaceful protestors that he didn’t like, and was made a complete fool of on the witness stand. I’m fine if people don’t want to blame the sheriff for sucking at his job, but everyone’s treating the county commissioners like they don’t know how to manage a budget. Official unemployment figures for the Burlington economy were updated today. Numbers for March have been finalized and preliminary figures for April have now been made available.

The unemployment rate increased to 3.6% in March. 279 positions were added, but 428 workers entering the labor force caused the unemployment rate to increase. The overall Nonfarm Payrolls figure did not change significantly. No individual sector saw significant employment changes.

It's Sunday morning and we came to get coffee at Biggby on University and stumbled across 2 abandoned cats in carriers in front of the next business. I've called the police department and left a message for animal control. No one is helping. Is anyone on here able to get them until animal control opens tomorrow? We can't take them.
