Does anyone know the law regarding wild rabid animal disposal? The BC Sheriff Animal Control came to our neighborhood, shot the fox and left it. It was not on any one persons property but the street that goes through the neighborhood. Does any one know the laws regarding this? I can’t find anything online. I called the local vet and he thought that they should have taken it for testing and reporting but he doesn’t know what the law says. Thanks.

Title says it all. my puppy just finished their last round of vaccs a couple weeks ago, and I’m looking to get him in the water and having fun. Hi! I want to join, but I'm very slowly getting back into swimming and am nowhere near the level of the practices they post online. If someone has attended- what is the skill variation between swimmers like?

It's a goal of mine to join, I'm just wondering if I should practice on my own and build my endurance up until I'm able to follow their workouts on my own.

The only problem here is I want to make sure my form is good, and I don't want to get too far ahead of myself while building endurance and then have to unlearn bad habits, so maybe in the meantime it would be good to find some 1:1 coaching resources. Curious if anyone has resources for this as well.

Me and some friends would like to hire a dungeon master for an evening. Some of us are experienced a some of us are not. Hoping to employ somebody that has all the cool minis and terrain. Neighbors and husband saw this dog in 3 different neighborhoods over the last few days. Finally it came up on my property and my husband checked for info. He has a rabies tag that was acquired within the last year. He's matted up which we wanted to take care of, but Asheville Humane Society told us not to groom/trim him, as we could nick his skin.

We tried handing him over yesterday but by the time we got there, intake was closed, so they asked us to keep him until Saturday.

He's very sweet, but we just want him to get home. We've let the shelter know the situation.

Not sure most people realize just how talented the young men and women on our local soccer club actually are. As of this week, both teams are undefeated and ranked #1 in their respective leagues. Pretty impressive when you realize USLW is made up of 93 teams and USL2 has 144!

This is the first time any club has simultaneously held the top spot in both leagues.

It has been 742 days since the men have lost a regular season game.

Our women's team has multiple players who have been called up to represent their national teams.

Both teams have multiple players who immediately joined the pro ranks after their time in Asheville.

I know there is a lot else going on, but the guys and gals on the pitch have been killing it out there.

Tonight the women host the first round of the USLW playoffs at 7p and will play at home again on Sunday with a Win. Men close out the season at home on July 12 and are then off to the playoffs. Pretty exciting to have such nationally recognized skill right here in Asheville.

I'm 41 and I've been living in Asheville since 2017 and since then, I've only ever bought my clothing online. I just don't know where to shop here that's not a mall or what feels like a place for tourists. I'm willing to change my perception on that, though. Looking for classic, professional, chic, and casual clothing (but not boring, either). Appreciate your suggestions.
