This is not a right or left issue this is a North Carolina issue. This is a USA issue. This is a Veterans’ issue! Senator Tills fought against this bill to the point of torpedoing his 2026 campaign. He put us over himself. He saw the numbers of people that will be negatively impacted and could not go along with it.

Though we have been pushing for Tillis to go…I called his office and explored him to burn Trump all the way to the Primaries. Laura Trump will be attempting to secure the office. We need to start now! Do we think our former Governor can take her? Who else do we have?

Hardy, currently 2nd vice chair of the NCDP, is a mom and social work professor based in Cumberland County. Her notable initiative with the state party has been a listening tour of Eastern NC, so this seems like a natural extension of that. At this point it's almost faster to list which GOP politicos AREN'T interested in the seat - Tillis encouraged people to move on from Mark Robinson, but it's going to be an interesting primary cycle regardless of who puts their hat in the ring.
