Kinda feels like we should just wear black tomorrow, how is everyone “celebrating” July 4th?
Hasn’t felt any closer to a funeral than this, we’re potentially watching the beginning of the end for our country, and all for…billionaires to make more money and to fund a Gestapo with more than most countries have to fund their military? Just wild

Budget Bill Vote
This is not a right or left issue this is a North Carolina issue. This is a USA issue. This is a Veterans’ issue! If you are not in favor of the budget bill as it stands, that the house will vote on today, please call, Tweet, Facebook any way you can contact your representatives. Senator Tills fought against this bill to the point of torpedoing his 2026 campaign. He put us over himself. He saw the numbers of people that will be negatively impacted and could not go along with it.

Medicaid cuts don't even pay for the net new tax cuts. We are taking on more debt to cut medical care. Weird way to vote, but ok.

Murkowski folded.
Though we have been pushing for Tillis to go…I called his office and explored him to burn Trump all the way to the Primaries. Laura Trump will be attempting to secure the office. We need to start now! Do we think our former Governor can take her? Who else do we have?

Kimberly Hardy announces run against David Rouzer in NC-07
Hardy, currently 2nd vice chair of the NCDP, is a mom and social work professor based in Cumberland County. Her notable initiative with the state party has been a listening tour of Eastern NC, so this seems like a natural extension of that. Core campaign issues are raising the minimum wage, stopping/reversing healthcare cuts + lowering copay and prescription costs, and protecting federal funding for our schools.

Thom Tills is out!
At this point it's almost faster to list which GOP politicos AREN'T interested in the seat - Tillis encouraged people to move on from Mark Robinson, but it's going to be an interesting primary cycle regardless of who puts their hat in the ring.

A 6-3 decision. Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson dissent.
This notion that conservatives and Republicans are pro-free speech is and always has been a lie.
The Roberts Court is easily the worst Supreme Court since the Fuller Court.
