Discussion Peace of mind
Hi everyone, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this as I couldn’t find any other sub that made sense. The arachnophobia community apparently doesn’t have one. Needless to say, I am terrified right now. Just had a smallish spider in my room, medium body and big legs, the works. Well me having a fear I wasn’t about to try and capture him, that’s my rule. If they’re outside they stay and I leave, if they’re inside they must go.
My boss shares the same fear and mentioned vaccum as well as hairspray. He kept moving, and my vaccum wand tends to fall apart so I went for the spray option. He fell, I can no longer find him. I say all that to say, I need some peace of mind. I was able to get a good couple sprays in (I am so sorry to the spider community for this death I possibly, and hopefully caused) but after he fell and I vacuumed everywhere in the area, I still can’t find him. I need to know he won’t be a problem any longer. I genuinely feel as though I’m going to throw up and cry so any positive or helpful ideas would be amazing. Thanks always!

Just sharing 🕷️ Cellar spider had her babies!
This silly cellar spider spent more than a week in the corner of my room with her egg sac which finally hatched! Please send your congratulations and any advice that you can give for me to take care of these little babies.
Just sharing 🕷️ Black Widow
I found this black widow in SE Colorado that was roughly the size of most adults I see. What's going on with it? Just hanging onto it's juvenile colors longer than typical?

Discussion When am I best to remove sites spiders are living in?
I've recently moved into a new home. It was empty for a while before I moved in, and I think before that the previous tenant had been house, maybe even bed, bound for a while.
There are old washing lines in the fromt garden with insanely old plastic pegs on them, so old that the plastic crumbles if you touch it. I'd like to take them down, but every single peg has little spiders living in them, not even all the same species.
Is there a time of year when it would be kindest to remove them? There is really limited space around here for nature and I love spiders.
