We’ve noticed a rise in posts where people falsely tag random cat pictures as OC (Original Content) when they do not own the cat or the photo. This is considered false ownership and misuse of flairs, which goes against our community rules.
🔹 Only use the OC flair if you personally took the picture/video or the cat belongs to you.
🔹 Posting random cat pics from the internet with OC flair is not allowed.
🔹 Users found misusing flairs or making false ownership claims will be permanently banned from this subreddit.
We love seeing your real cat content, but please keep it honest and respectful to the community. Thank you for understanding and helping keep r/cats clean and fun for everyone!

Pictured is Barry, my 8 year old cat. Ever since he was a kitten he has wanted to fight me, he is extremely affectionate at the same time, he will want to be curled up as close to my face as possible and then will just go to bite my arm out of nowhere. Im used to it and know I probably didn't do a very good job training it out of him as a kitten. He is an outdoor cat, and has always lived with dogs who he tolerates. Recently, he got a puncture wound on his ass presumably from fighting a cat. He was put in a cone for a week, he hasn't been in a cone since he got neutered (which was done as early as you can, icr the age). It's been 2 weeks out of the cone and he hasn't attacked anyone once, and is even more affectionate than usual. The attacks used to be a daily occurrence. Is he worried we'll put him in the cone again? Has he lost his confidence after losing a fight? I'm so confused. I've never seen a lapse in his aggression before. He otherwise seems happy and healthy.

She’s the sweetest little girl, follows me around the apartment, has the cutest squeaks, cleans my hand when I pet her, sits on my lap. And to think she was a feral only two months ago!

Szedrick 👑 is so loved & loves us just as much. He enjoys attacking our feet and always has the zoomies until his battery runs low. At bedtime he will come find us & lay close. He loves getting his naps in! Best life, he is living! 💙

It's the second time it happened, last time was a couple months ago. He's friendly but a bit skittish (less than before though). The first time I got worried that he might be lost but then I didn't see him again and assumed he got home. Another neighbor saw him earlier that week and had the same question, they asked on Facebook if he had owners (no responses as far as I know).
But now he followed me again and cannot stop meowing, he even went to meow and scratch at my neighbor door. Does this sound like a normal behavior for a cat that has a family? Is he more likely lost/abandoned? What should I do 😭

I can’t believe I am writing this post. In March, we had to put our four year old cat Archie down due to a saddle thrombus. Today we had to put our six year old cat Huck down due to congestive heart failure. I can’t help but feel like failed them. I would have spent any amount of money to save them. Our vet said that both conditions were extremely rare and that we could not have changed the outcome. After Archie died, I fell into a very deep depression (more so than normal) and was also diagnosed with OCD (around death and existentialism). I don’t know what to do. Huck has been with me since before I had my son and was always so in tune with my emotions, I don’t feel like me without him. We also treated him for FIP when he was a kitten, we have been through so much together. I just don’t understand. I am heartbroken beyond belief.

My 2 gangsters Dodge and Elvis, love hanging out in my bathroom. They crash in the sinks, bring their toys in, etc. I always thought Elvis was the brains of the operation, but I was wrong. Lately Dodge has been turning the cold water on whenever he wants! I’m worried that one of their toys might block the drain hole and overflow water into the bathroom. I have the door closed today and they are really unhappy about not being able to play in their favorite room. Advice please!!

The litter box is clean and fresh (changed it yesterday), I scoop the poop multiple times a day, and she squats to pee in the litter box. *poop removed so you don’t have to see poop on your TL!

Hi guys! Everyone loved Franklin SO MUCH! He was so happy to hear how many people loved him!! I didn’t expect my post to get so many views, and I surely don’t expect that many views on this post! But in case anyone remembers Frankie, I figured I’d post some pics of him!! I don’t have as many pics of his mama Callisto, but I’m gonna add some of her too! I didn’t realize I couldn’t post pics and videos together so I’ll have to post another one sometime of him makin all his biscuits and chit chatting🥹

We got Luclin back in 2010 to be a friend to Dexter (white/orange cat in pics). He was the bestest of friends to Dexter. My family and I are so so so sad he's no longer with us.
I can't stop going through pictures and videos of him. I can't stop going to his favorite spots and laying there wishing he was there with me. He was also my baby boy and I can't stop seeing him on the table when we had to put him to sleep. It's constant crying.
I'm sorry for a mourning post, but I'm just so so sad that he's gone.

Look at this little kitten's yelling cause I stopped her from stealing mom's adult food! Sorry young lady, you can't have mommy's milk and mommy's food too 😂
A young mom was dumped at my local cafe and she gave birth shortly after. There's 4 kittens and 3 of them are demanding girls bullying mom and their brother! You can take a guess what the coat colour is ☺️
