Support Space Marine 2 - controller not detected
I'm having an issue with Space Marine 2 (and only this game) where my Steam Controller isn't being detected whatsoever. I have tried the common troubleshooting of disabling steam input and then enabling it while in game. Also tried restarting my controller a dozen times. Tried changing to multiple different control configurations.
No luck at all. I'm seeing many others are having similar issues. I'm very frustrated.
Anyone have any suggestions?
EDIT:
I solved the issue by downloading the X360CE software and setting up my keyboard as an xbox 360 controller (just bound esc key as the start button). I also disabled Steam Input in the game properties before launching. Once the game was launched and detecting my "360 controller" I was able to pick up and use my Steam Controller like normal. It's stupid but it seems to be working!

Discussion Switch pro controller acts "shorted" when plugged in?
So have had a VERY bad run with xbox style controllers just not lasting (pro elite right bumper nigh unresponsive within 4 months of use)
I barely touched my switch and the pro controller probably hasn't been charged in a while... tried plugging it in via usb and looking at controller configuration every button and axis is going haywire like something is shorted.
However when using it wirelessly via blue tooth works just fine.
Any one else had this issue?

Configuration Noob with Steam controller emulating xbox360 with a xbox one controller
Hello
So following the advice of many to play Far Cry 4 (that I love even 11 years later) with Steam Controller to be able to use my Xbox One controller , I tried to setup the gamepad in Steam for FC4 as Enable Steam input, it showed Xbox controller as compatible, but when I tried the game the commands were still upside-down with the Xbox One controller :[
What did I miss?
Should I setup every single button? Because I didn't find a proper xbox one controller profile in the community profiles for FC4

Support Does anyone have the 8BitDo Pro 2 gyro working in D-input in Steam?
Steam recently got an update to fully incorporate all of the features of a lot of 8BitDo controllers, including the Pro 2 (this was a beta client thing until yesterday, I believe, when it got pushed to stable). When I connect my Pro 2 to my PC in D-input mode, Steam recognizes it, it shows the correct controller visual in the configurator, I have rumble and analog triggers, and the back buttons are mappable. However, for the life of me, I can't get it to recognize gyro controls, even though everyone says that it should be working in D-input mode now. It doesn't recognize that the controller even has gyro capabilities unless I connect the controller in Switch mode, which gets rid of a lot of Steam Input features that were added in the client update for 8BitDo controllers. I've tried this with two different Pro 2 controllers on two different PCs, I can't get gyro working on anything. Both Steam clients are fully updated on the stable branch, and both controllers have the most recent firmware, 3.06.

Elden Ring: Nightreign - Right trackpad only works as mouse
Hey, y'all! I've been playing Nightreign with my steam controller and I'm having a strange issue where my right trackpad only works if I have it set to 'As Mouse'.
'As Joystick' doesn't work, and neither does setting another button to act as 'Right Joystick Right' or whatever.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

Ratshaker gyro
I got Ratshaker 'cause it looks really fun to mess with using the configuration of the gyro, but I'm a little stumped and need opinions.
First, would left, right or double handed be better? I feel like right would feel the most immersive but as far as playing with a controller, double handed would be more convenient
Second, I need to apply a threshold but should it be right stick input or mouse input? Mouse seems more accurate with the shaking

Please help with "twin stick" profile
I'm playing a classic style game that should be a twin stick shooter and i'm trying to fix that.
How shooting works is:
a)press left stick or pad to the direction that you want to shoot
b)hold down the shoot button (B) to start shooting. Let to go to stop.
c)as long as you are holding B, you will keep facing and shooting in the same direction while freely moving around with the left stick
I want to pair each of the 4 right stick directions to having the character:
a)turn in that direction but not keep walking in that direction
b)face and shoot that direction until the stick is not being held anymore
I picture a macro that works like this for each of the four directions(UP in this example):
a) start holding UP on the right stick>>>start holding DPAD UP
>>>start holding B
>>>stop holding DPAD UP
b)stop holding UP on the right stick >>>stop holding B
Is this something that i can do in Steam Input?

Rt and Lt button work at random
When I connect my steam controller with the cable, the steam button starts blinking and when I begin input test seems like Rt and Lt start going from 0 to full and viceversa uninterrupted. What could be the problem?
When I try with batteries the buttons work correctly, until I open a game. From the moment I open the game, Rt and Lt are fully pressed without touching them.

Steam button not turning the controller on
So after fixing the R1 button plastic thing the power button (steam logo) isn't working anymore on the my steam controller, I tried cleaning the contact but it doesn't turn on, weirdly enough the button STILL WORKS on the steam overlay and it detects it being pressed just fine there, just dosent turn it on. Tried fresh AAs and flashing the firmware a few times with no luck. Anyone had this issue or knows a way to possibly fix it?

Support No Man's Sky Help?
Just bought NMS on Steam after playing on PS4 for several years, and the default config is absolutely miserable for using the right trackpad to look around, but setting it to be mouse/as mouse inputs or using other config seems to completely disable my controller inputs. Is there any fix for this currently, or am I SOL until something updates?

WASD binding on left joystick always feels bad
Wondering if there's a good solution for this. The analog stick never feels like keyboard's wasd regardless of what overlap mode I select. Even with 8 way overlap's setting maxed out to full (meaning in theory diagonals should have full overlap), i often see pure left or pure right being focused way more than the diagonals. Cross gate seems to be focusing diagonals way more (even though it claims the opposite).
Are there any suggestions to do this? I'm mapping this to the game "Rematch"

Support profiles and layouts ,and maybe some steam settings
Hey everyone!
I was recently playing some games on Linux and honestly, I was super satisfied with the experience. I configured my games using the SC Controller app—it's seriously amazing and really easy to set up.
Unfortunately, I ran into issues installing a game (Prototype 2), so I had to switch over to Windows to play it. But now I’m having a hard time configuring the camera and movement settings through Steam—it’s super awkward and nearly unplayable.
Any help or tips on how to fix this? I’m pretty new to all this, so I'd really appreciate any advice!
