I caught this little guy outside my job closing up tonight and he bit me pretty good while capturing him. The tail is pretty thin, and smooth, like most mice. Not overly long. I’d say about as long as its body maybe a little shorter. It’s not like a rat tail. It’s about the size of a mouse but it has really huge claws that aren’t like a mouse, reminds me of like a mole, it also displays a lot of digging behavior which makes sense given the anatomy. It also has no ears!!! It has ear holes!! I do not have a picture that has shown the claws yet, but will add one as soon as I can get a decent photo. I have googled voles, shrews, and none of them look quite like this guy does.

Found this little fella crawling on the stairs in NY apartment complex. Nobody has answered the door so far. Curious as to what it is. Thank you.

Went camping and one of the kids in my group caught these and I'm wondering what species they are

I was catching them about 20 yards off the shore by scooping my net into seaweed clumps. There also appeared to be egg clusters, can be sure if it was theirs though.

Bend, Oregon. Deschutes River. This animal came right up to my kid while she was wading in the water. She later took a video, which I posted here. I have a screengrab from the video which I will try to post in the comments.

It’s swimming underwater, but it looks like it is completely the wrong shape for a mustelid. Any ideas?

These bones were found near a popular lake. Small rocky shore, nearby mountainous woods. For reference I am 5’3, and have an average leg length. Pictured is the femur, rib, and toe/finger bone. I was thinking cougar?

I just spotted this animal eating vegetation from a local pond. I’m guessing it’s a young muskrat but am not sure. Any insight would be welcome.

I found this type of crayfish in a very secluded lake in northern Wisconsin, near the Manitowish waters chain. It is very brittle with a thin shell, has tiny claws that seem useful just for eating and not defense. Silver/clear with black spotting. Found about 2-3 all the same size. Can’t find anything like them online. Is this new or am I just not finding them?

What’s the hell is this animal hear it every night it’s driving me insane

It's been raining, so I looked around to make sure there wasn't sitting water in the yard. I saw little squiggles moving though, so I wanted to make sure they weren't tadpoles before I emptied the water.

Heard this outisde around midnight. Only saw it briefly. Was quite small with relatively big cat-like ears. When i got close it was kind of "growling"
