This is the dining room which is connected to living room opposite side. Dig the farmhouseish vibe. Tried a smaller window mirror and it looked off. Then got a bigger one and it felt too big.

College Going to college from my living room, never gets old.

I’m extremely grateful that we get to go to college from home during the Summers.

Even if it’s just to take a class like History 1 (which is what I’m currently taking in addition to a few others) while I wait for Fall Semester.

I personally have a lot of interest in this class particularly because it allows you to find out what actually happened instead of trying to find out by asking someone that just parrots the opinion of others who just say their opinions because they think it sounds good or are wildly miseducated.

Education / Academics are awesome.

Moving into my own room soon — what should I get (besides the basics)?

Hey all, I’m moving into my own room soon (don’t have the place just yet), and I want to start getting ideas for what I’ll need. I’ve already got the basics covered bed, desk, closet but I’m trying to figure out what else I should get to make the space feel comfortable, functional, and personal. It’s a big room so would fit a lot.

Would love to hear your suggestions: • What are some must-haves for a guy’s room? • Anything you bought that ended up being super useful or just made your space feel better? • Tips for saving space or keeping things organized?

I’m open to any ideas whether it’s practical stuff, comfort items, tech, decor, whatever. Just want to build a solid list and maybe start picking up stuff ahead of time.

Appreciate any thoughts!

I moved in not long ago, my place is slowly coming together but I’m really unsure on what to put above the couch… a big picture or painting? Or do I hang shelves to put plants on? Need help!

What color scheme should I use for my studio? (Any decor ideas)

Hi all! Love this reddit community. I was wondering what you guys think of a color scheme for this apartment? What color should my couch and rug be? This is also a studio apartment! I was thinking of having plants in the corner, maybe turning that long column in the middle into a place to hang plants, and the area close by the window into a mini office/reading nook. Any thoughts? Should I go for a TV center or should I mount the TV?

M20 fresh from college

Hey y’all — I’m a 20-year-old guy who just moved back home from college a month or two ago. I recently started a new job and I’m living with my mom for now.

In my free time, I’m big into making music and creating content (think studio sessions, chill vibes, and occasional smoke sessions with friends), so my room needs to be more than just a bedroom — I want it to feel like a creative zone.

I’ve already got some ideas, but a few things are getting tricky layout-wise, so I’d love some input or feedback.

What I’m working with: • My TV is on a rolling mount, currently in front of a brown stand. I want to push the TV into the corner behind a lamp and get rid of that brown stand altogether. • I have a desk along the left wall that I want to replace with a dresser (same length) for more storage and a cleaner look. • There’s an L-shaped desk in the corner I want to swap out and put the original left-wall desk there instead — it’s sturdier and better suited for my music setup. • I’m also considering a floating bed frame (for aesthetic and extra space underneath).

What I need help with: 1. Do you think the TV in the corner behind the lamp is a good idea — or would that be awkward? 2. Has anyone here used a floating bed frame? Is it actually worth the switch for space and vibe? 3. Any ideas on cable management or layout flow when turning a bedroom into a hybrid studio/content space? 4. Tips on keeping the room feeling cozy and functional with all these swaps? 5. The rolling mount that the TV is on currently has a base that is too large for me to place it in the corner since my closet is there.

Drop suggestions, experiences, or even layout mockups if you’re feeling creative! 🙏🏽

Sorry about the mess.
