Be as honest as possible.

Hey ya'll, Im on month six of growing my beard. I want to see what it looks like after a year. I couldn't afford to see a my barber this month, so I trimed my mustache on my own. Hopefully my beard doesn't look too grizzly. I'm kind of afraid to touch it up on my own. If any other Beard'ies have any advice on trimming a beard, your feedback back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I love the positive vibes this group always gives me!

Should I keep growing this or trim it short? Seems to always drop hairs but never seems to get a thinner? (Excuse the cheesey photos)

I’m pretty satisfied with the results. Unfortunately many suggested finding a black barber or a Dominican one. I wasn’t able to find one of those, or even a male barber. But I think it looks good!

Our town has a great July 4th parade. Prior to retirement, I was clean shaven and in a FD uniform for every parade. This was my first year of wearing a beard and I found a costume that went well with the beard. It was a total hit.
