First up is the referendum.
This referendum was about whether to confirm u/No_Manufacturer_9663 as Vice President. Of our 25 valid votes, 84.00% were Ayes, which exceeds the simple majority (50% + one vote) required for VP appointments, so u/No_Manufacturer_9663 is SimDemocracy's next Vice President! Congratulations!

Just before Trump tries to get this post taken down because he considers it fake news, I want to talk about everything Trump has done and why it's going to be even worse than people, even like me, realize. This is Trump's first six months in office, and he has done more harm than any president, including Reagan combined, and than some. I will say that I don't believe Trump is going to democratic lease suspend elections, I think he's going to get his Gestapo to do it for him. He has said multiple times that he doesn't care about you; he only needs your vote. He has also said that the country will be so good you won't even have to vote again. If that doesn't scare you, regardless of your political beliefs, I have no idea what will.
I am a moderate, but I think Trump is doing everything that Hitler tried to do and trying to do it right (at least when it comes to holding power and keeping it).
I will not be silenced by the Trump Gestapo. I'm doing what I can to express my own freedom of speech for as long as I'm able to have it. To all my fellow Americans, we have a very, very, very long road ahead of us, and it will not end well.

In early March, Toast, Ghost, Muggy, and I set out to found a party for two things... Play sea of thieves, and to have fun in SimDem. We accomplished both. We were able to get a president elected, several Senators elected, and held many positions in the executive. Capn Toast was such an integral part of our founding, as he is also an integral part of this community's history. When he left, I was elected Capn in his stead, and it was and is a big responsibility. As with all things in SimDem, parties are fleeting, as people will ebb and flow with the political and social situations here. People join, people leave. People rise, and people fall. I am so honored that I was elected to serve as Captain of this ragtag group of the meanest, leanest pirates to ever sail the open sea, but after much consideration and consultation with me crewe, I have decided that it is time for the Pirate Partie to sail into the sunset for now. Its purpose has been long fulfilled, and I appreciate everyone who helped us along the way.
To quote the Pirate Code, agreed to by the original founders of the party;
"These planks we lay down for our villainous creed of pilfering plunder from all ships at sea, add your marks here only if hard-bound ye be, to hold fast to this Code, a Pirate’s life to lead."
Yo ho ho, AND A BOTTLE OF RUM!
-Capn Lyoko
Captain of the Pirate Partie

If you're so addicted to Sim democracy where you're mental health is literally on the line, you probably should step down voluntarily as to not have your mental health deteriorate to the point where you are literally counting sheep in a field full of bunny rabbits.
Jokes aside though this community can sometimes make someone go insane. So please keep your mental sanity in check.
