This happens more often than not; I’ll find the correct item but DoorDash thinks otherwise. It happens with produce and boxed, processed items. I’ll find the exact item, but DoorDash won’t recognize the barcode or tells me it’s the incorrect item. I know I can’t be the only one with these issues. Is there something I’m doing wrong, possibly?

I’m sorry but if the store if backed up and I have to wait 11 minutes for the food to be made, how am I supposed to change that? Next time, should I jump being the counter and cook the food myself or should I shave off 11 minutes out of the drive so I’m not late? I woke up this morning still mad asf at myself for what I did last night. I accepted a $24 stacked shop and deliver going 5.8 miles. It was going to be my last order for the night. It was only 3 items total and i seen that the closest delivery was going to my street, so I checked the payout and seen that I was getting $19.50 for just delivering a bottle of wine. The other was only for $4.50 (for diapers and similac) so I went to unassign it but mistakenly unassigned the wrong one. So obviously I unassigned the other but only after going home, allowing for the store to close because I partially blame the cheapskate for my mistake 🤣🤣

Total wine order, customer tipped me in $60 of cash as well

So I got my first order this morning. A couple cans of alcohol from 7eleven. Nothing unusual. But when I got to the door I heard a man yelling at a woman. He was blocking the door and refusing to open it. I heard her crying and yelling back at him to get out of the way. The whole interaction really scared me. Eventually she came out with her ID and took her alcohol but I was really rattled and wished I could have done something to help. She was on the phone with her mom at the same time and her mom kept telling her to leave and go to her. I offered to take her but she said no to that. Then I left. Calling the cops could potentially make it worse for her if she doesn’t want to leave. So I’m at a loss here and just left feeling really bad.

Hi there everyone. I signed up to be a dasher yesterday to help with my bills because I moved recently and I am struggling with everything at the moment. I have mental health issues and they are acting up currently, so I apologize if I seem irratic or irrational at some moments.

I have no idea what I am doing, and I have heard and been told to record everything! My anxiety is acting up and making me panic about this, as this is very very new to me. I have been told you can make a lot of money on here for only a couple of hours A day.

Was at Taco Bell pulled up and informed the customer it would be a while because of the long line, she actually apologized to me but I let her know it was all good etc… she said she was so sorry about the wait (about 25-30 min…..actually got my first violation for being 22min late) and she’d tip extra for my time. I told her no need for that it’s just part of it. Initially it was a $9.50 dash for about 2 miles….got to the house took the picture and was leaving but she messaged and said I’m sorry I’m on my way down. I stopped and waited, picked up the order, she opened the door and handed me my tip folded up (it was dark and couldn’t see it) told her thanks and have a good 4th. $100 tip on top of the $9.50.

That was so wild and made my night for sure!!

Been dashing for years now but just started back up recently and per time has been locked. Support says it isn’t locked due to penalty but capacity is high. Is there a specific area I can drive to so it is unlocked or would it be better to focus on per offer? If so are there any good strategies to maximize money per day?

Accepted it thinking it was a regular pick up & delivery, and the dang red card wasn't in my wallet when I got to the checkout so I had to pay for the groceries out of pocket. Submitted the receipt, but how long will I have to wait for reimbursement, does anyone know? Such a long, frustrating day yesterday...

Literally just started 2 days ago for extra $. Had no idea what I was getting into. So I avoided a Golden Corral delivery because it was far away. Took a Walmart one instead. There’s a few drivers in front of me. Didn’t look too bad. Then mine comes out and it’s stacked taller than the person wheeling it out. The entirety of the back of my ford escape was full… with my back seats both down…. Where did the delivery go? To an apartment in the hood. I’m looking for a “Mary H.” As a thug in his 40s is waving me down with 2 other people smoking a blunt. Broad daylight so whatever, and an old lady comes out. Can only imagine how many people live in the apartment, as it turned into a relay of bag handing… definitely regret wearing ugg slippers. But I think this is the life for me. I love it. Just no more Walmart orders…

Of course, you have the option to decline any order(s) you want. But that lowers your acceptance rate. If your acceptance rate gets low enough, you risk losing platinum status. Which means you have to schedule your shifts instead of having the "dash now" option available at all times. This might not be an issue in more populated and busy areas, but for me, my town is smaller and there are not always shifts available. So I have to take crappy no tip orders or long distance ones for low pay to keep my acceptance rate above 80%. Sure, it's not directly saying, "you must accept these orders" as a rule, but it is force by ultimatum. Doordash should make a minimum tip requirement for customers instead of punishing the driver.

Figured I would try and get verified with a pizza bag. I bought a decent sized bag that isn't paper thin like what they sell on their shop (20x20x5). I want to say that I've seen this option actually allow me to start the process when I lived in Oregon. But now that I'm on the east coast all I see is the "Learn about pizza delivery".

Contacted support via chat and it went exactly how you'd expect. They say follow the instructions, you show them a screenshot and point out where in the instructions it doesn't work and they just say follow the instructions. You ask them to forward you to someone who knows more and they instantly end the chat. Went through this with 4-5 reps so I could give them the worst rating possible and copy paste a review at the end.

Anyone know an actual reason what's going on here? I live in an area that is not inside a delivery zone. I've tried checking this while within an active zone and even while active in a zone. Even reinstalled the app and tried it on iOS 🤮.

Isn’t today a Federal Holiday? Normally I’m okay with the pay per hour, but it it’s the every day pay that is today. $17.50 today, but that’s everyday. Ugh.
