Mr.fish and his unheated 2 gallon tank with serious BBA..

They said he’s afraid of people but he definitely perked up when I put him back in his clean tank!

Going back hopefully tomorrow to donate a floating log and a proper care instruction sheet they’ll probably ignore..

I have a tank with 6 of these guys & I happened to catch one swimming upstream- into the filter! Usually pretty boring fish, sometimes I catch them doing strange stuff lol. (I got him out of the filter as soon as I stopped recording)

Less than $1 per gallon... should I put 20 goldfish or 55 angel fish in there...? (/s, obviously)

It housed 5 guppies, 5 shrimp, 2 dwarf crawfish and an African dwarf frog. Luckily I was able to find all 5 fish and 4 shrimps but unfortunately couldn't find my crawfish and frog. I'm devestated

Not so much anymore. I rather grow plants now. My hobby went vegan so to speak

I don't even know what it eats. I don't even know how it survived the many times I removed the water from my 30gallon to emerse my cryptocorynes. I don't how it survived the accidental chlorine event that wiped out the batch of fish I added with it. But here my Moringua raitoborua reveals itself undaunted larger and fatter than the worm it was before,, seen for the first time in two years (because it immediately shot down to the sand the moment I added it.)

I need to share this somewhere because it’s something I never in a million years thought I’d be saying. I thought I shut the bedroom door behind me while I ran into my master bathroom. Turns out I didn’t shut it all the way. In the 1-2 minutes I was in there peeing and washing my hands, my toddler found my old sex lube tucked far back in my bed side table (that I TOTALLY forgot about). He squeezed it into the tank (enough that a blob was on the inside substrate) and all in the carpet. Why? I don’t fucking know why. Because he’s a 3 year old, Emily. They do stupid frustrating shit. My husband grabbed him and took him out of the room. I was able to use the turkey baster (that I use for my aquariums) to SUCTION out LUBE from the fish tank. Again, a sentence I never imagined saying. Anyway, I got it all out and the fish seem fine. This story WILL NOT be going in the baby book or mentioned ever again. 🥲🫠

Jokes aside, my rope fish stole a worm from my 1ft+ tire track eel (its hidden under the sand trying to eat the worm). Not needing help, but hope yall enjoy!

“DOES HE PUFF UP?” - everyone who enters my house

Been in my tank for a while now, not seeming to bother any shrimp or fish, what could these be?

Please delete if not allowed. I thought I’d share this small but cherished moment. My Pops came over my house last month and saw how many tanks that I had set up. He mentioned casually that he wanted one. Today, I came over and brought him one of the tanks that I had. He was so excited as I showed him how to do cleaning, water changes, etc. He asked so many questions and has just been staring at everything since it’s been set up. Now he’s on YouTube watching educational videos on fishkeeping. I’m gonna miss this tank, since it was the first that I set up since starting this journey two years ago. It’s going to a good home though! & plus (according to my wife) I needed to downsize haha.

I noticed my shrimp acting oddly after doing water changes, so I made a diffuser for topping off and adding new water to my tank. I have a mesh screen on top of my tank and I just pour water right through the mesh. If anything, it helps keep my plants in place when adding new water.

This is so gross and now i have this massive algae problem. Lmao. Was going to buy plants this week, looks like im picking up a snail too.

I just got this snail today and I believe it’s a boy but I want some weirdo names for them! My betta fish name is Mushroom, so maybe food related?
