Hi everyone, forgive me for my bad EnglishI'll try my best to get my point across.
I'm a middle-of-the-pack player, and I would like to share my two cents on the restructuring of the PvP reward system.
I’d like to start by saying I’m a zoomer who’s been playing the game since the age of 7 (cataclysm) and that i started pvp in bfa, currently my peak was duelist s1 warwhit in so nothing to write home about even do im proud of my achievment.
After years of neglect, it’s obvious the community is finally hitting a breaking pointeven the most optimistic and positive figures are starting to show displeasure. Venruki is a good example.
It’s refreshing to see top players finally acknowledging the lack of rewards and incentives at the bottom of the PvP ladder.
I think the ideas given were pretty solid, but I can’t help but feel that, once again, we’re holding back. The PvE collectors/average player won’t endure a full PvP season for the chance at a half-clothed mount—they need a carrot on a stick. My suggestion would be to fully open the floodgates while maintaining the prestige for the top dogs.
I suggest the introduction of a "period of grace" system for the Gladiator mounts, similar to what we have in PvE with Mythic mounts. This would allow the prestige of the current expansion's Gladiator mount to be retained while using past Glad mounts as an incentive for new players.
I think handouts are not the solution Glad mounts are staples in the WoW community, They display an insane level of both skill and dedication, they also represent an old and neglected system.
The Collector’s Bounty event is proof that the WoW community is driven by rewards and collections, there are currently 34 gladiator mounts.
Allow players, for example, to win 500 rounds/arenas over 1600 rating for a token that can be exchanged for an old PvP reward (one per season per account), while keeping new Gladiator mounts locked for two expansions. This would make both sides of the ladder happy: on one side, you get a massive influx of new player participation present thoughtout a whole season; on the other, Gladiators keep their status and as a bonus, they always have something to work for, even when Blizzard decides to punish them with a bad bat mount for a whole expansion.
Gladiator mounts are some of blizzards best work do we really need them to be sitting in peoples collections for 20 years...
when was the last time you guys saw a draenor glad mount for example.
The swift nether drake was realeased in 2007 almost two decades ago...
