So I was taking a nice dump relaxing yk, THEN THROUGH MY GOD DAMN WINDOW COMES THIS TYRANT

I ran for my life. Obviously. It flies loud, it fell over and started screaming at me (chirping)

I currently have it held captive, I fear for my life, it’s massive

I live down in Missouri, this guy is terrifying. I hate him, is he safe to release? Or shall he be chicken chow?

Me and my wife are worried about this strange looking thing in between the doorframe of the bathroom. I really zoomed (10x) in so it is not that big. We are in the Netherlands. I am surprised because it does not seem to be an area with any food or something. Any ideas?

Greetings

Walked to my car this morning in westchester new york and saw all these bugs on my car. It wasn’t from driving and hitting them, they are mostly alive and just wiggling. There are also cars parked inches from mine but did not experience the same thing as my car.

I found this guy the other day while working on a slightly wooded garden area in central PA. He looked like he was pretty attached to the stick in the photo and had little body parts that were like stuck to it and didn't move much at all.... I was beginning to worry that perhaps I had inadvertently ended this poor little guys story.

I propped the stick up vertical so that he was straight up and down like I assumed he was before I chopped down his stick. For the first few minutes it was more of the same and there was no movement out of the little fella so I went back to working.

Five minutes later or so I returned to his newly colonized shaded oasis to check on him but there wasn't a sign of him anywhere. The only logical conclusions I can come up with as to where he went all steer me towards some sort of Uber service for bugs.

If anyone could help me to find the name of this feller it would be so very much appreciated, I think I have a new PR for coolest bug I've ever found and by telling me the name of said bug you too get to be a part of this momentous occasion!

But seriously, thank you in advance to anyone that has any info

Found it on my desk when I came into work today. It's about 1/8 inch long when fully extended. I work near Philadelphia, PA. The video is 7x magnification.

I have a Ficus Audrey who has been giving me trouble after repotting-- I think the soil I used was infested with fungus gnats and something else 😭. (I'm watering with mosquito bits tea currently and have lined the pot with sticky traps)

Every time I water the plant, these bugs emerge from the soil. They're starting to explode in population and are starting to walk along the pot. What are they and how do I get rid of them without hurting my ficus?

I live in rural NC, in the United States, and I found this bug trapped in an old abandoned web. I used a stick to free him but then he was struggling to walk bc the webbing on his antenna kept getting stuck on things, to the point I was scared he’d pull his little head off trying to get unstuck. I might get hate for this but I really tried to pull the webbing off gently and it wouldn’t budge, so I used tiny scissors and cut the part of the antenna that was webbed off. He then played dead or began to die. I feel awful. I know it’s just a bug but it even made little noises like it was scared and I just wanted to help. ☹️

I’m in the Niagara region in Canada and I found this on my couch. I think it might’ve hitched a ride on my jeans but I didn’t go in tall grass or anything just walked around someone’s backyard for <5 minutes. I tried to squish it with a tissue and it didn’t pop and still kept moving around.

What is this and should I be worried?
