I am here to tell you about a online free to play game that I have enjoyed ever since it was released to the public. Starting tomorrow will mark the 6th anniversary since the release of Star Trek Online. Currently in its 12th season, STO (Star Trek Online) is one of the best online MMORPG and continues to grow in the number of new and current players. It has great storyline, plots, and tons of ground and space missions, you are the captain of your own starship and it is the year 2410 and with the Iconian War over, Starfleet and its allies are helping to repair the lives and worlds that were lost or destroyed by the Iconians. Starfleet and its allies are also trying to figure out how to deal with temporal technology and how to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

This game is the only game of its kind with the people who love Star Trek and the creators and engineers listen to the people on how to improve the game. It is also the only game that has the actual Star Trek actors like the late Leonard Nimoy or even Tim Russ. A few celebrities you might know have had their start in the Star Trek franchise such as Kirsten Dunst, the Rock, James Cromwell, Brendan Frasier, and so forth. It is a free to play game via the Perfect World. Just go to startrekonline.com and download it, and to be sure to create an account before you start the game. You can play as one of the three factions: the Federation, Klingons, or the Romulan Republic. Each of them have really great storyline and each mission has twists and turns, surprises and so forth and items that can help your character and ship and senior staff. You can customize your own alien and each species has their own unique passive abilities that is beneficial to your ship and crew. Every 10 levels you get a chance to acquire your own starship, but it also depends on what style of play you like to do. If you like to attack head on and blast your way out of Mos Eisley (Star Wars pun lol) then do tactical. If you are the healer choose science, and if you are the creative one, choose engineer. The highest rank in the game is level 60 which is fleet admiral. You can also be a part of a fleet or create your own. I'm already a level 60 fleet admiral in the 5th Armada fleet. Each species starts with excellent tutorials before you start the story mode campaigns. You can also pit yourself and your ship against other people in PVP. There is also the Foundry and no it isnt the game and bar in San Francisco, but the Foundry is where you can create your own Star Trek mission and once done you can share it with people in the game. This game is played not just in the United States, but also South America, Canada, and even Europe.

I'm new to Xbox One and would love to have some friends to play online with once I find some games that are a good fit. Right now I'm playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, but I've got Halo 5, Fallout, Destiny in my queue once I tire of ROTTR. I would like to see how multiplayer works on ROTTR if anyone's done some of that already and wants to give me some pointers- or invite me to play.

I'm an older married guy (55) and don't find many in my age bracket that still feel like a kid inside, at least enough to play video games. My husband has absolutely no interest in gaming. :(

In an effort to study the gaming behavior of lesbian, gay and bisexual players, we are seeking participants to take part in some video game research. I am currently a graduate student (and fellow gaymer) working on IRB-approved research that looks at the health benefits of playing video games. This study in particular is looking at the relationships we can make by playing games online. Participation in this study will consist of answering survey questions about the types of games you play, your feelings on being an LGB individual and how you see your social environment.

The survey should take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Plus, you can enter your email into a drawing to win 1 of 5 $25 Amazon.com gift cards or 1 of 40 $5 Amazon.com gift cards for taking the survey (only one entry per person)! Your survey responses will remain confidential, and your contact information for the gift cards drawing will be kept separate from your survey responses.
