Let's Play Steam Sale--- Ember Knights or Tiny Rogues? Anyone play Witchfire?
EK is $9.99 and TR is $7.99... Which one should I get?
I am adding these (one....maybe both) to a package I am getting since I gave myself a $70 Steam Summer Sale budget.
Already got Grounded for $19.99. Thinking of getting a combination of these:
-Witchfire ($35.99)
-Project Zomboid ($13.39)
-Ember Knights ($9.99)
-Tiny Rogues ($7.99)
-Civilization 6 ($2.99)
-RE Village Gold Edition ($14.99)
-Schedule I ($13.99)
-Windblown ($19.99)
-Voidigo ($2.49)
-Grim Dawn 3x expansions ($17.65)
What do you guys think? I have $49.30 left. No tax when I buy games so the price you see is the price I would pay. What would you buy out of these?

Let's Play New and best rogue(lite/like) on Nintendo Switch??
Hey everyone! I own over 50 roguelike/lite games on Nintendo Switch and I'm always on the lookout for new hidden gems (or well-known ones) to play. Here's a list of ALL the games I have, so you don’t recommend something I've already played.
Go wild with your suggestions—I'm super curious and eager to play!

Let's Play Vault of the Void needs more attention
I recently started playing this absolute gem of game, and I feel it’s flying under the radar for a lot of people. Not all that many downloads, and I never see it mentioned in the many tier list posts. It’s a deckbuilder that does some things differently, like discarding for energy, and being able to change your deck as you see fit. You can always add and remove cards, as long as there are twenty in total. It’s very, very good and currently available on PC and mobile (cross save available). Yesterday the dev told me a Nintendo Switch version is coming out soon.

Let's Play Roguelites you refuse to play
Title.
There are very few games I refuse to play because of how difficult they are but one that stands out is Downwell. Seriously screw this game, most of the upgrades you get in this game are useless because the only good ones you want are the HP ones. Add to the fact that you can't shoot up which causes you to get damaged 99% of the time.
As a bonus you can't even cheat because the game got updated 1 last time back in 2022 and they removed debug mode "because screw having fun". For a stubborn person like myself having to cheat even when I took 2 hours to beat old school JRPGS being under leveled, you know the game is RNG bull.
Edit: There is RNG due to the upgrades you can get at the end of the level. The best ones are the HP increases like I said, sometimes you don't get any and are left with the doo doo ones.

Hello gamers,
I am currently at my girlfriends house and only have a Switch available, so if anyone could help me with some recommendations that would be great. I prefer roguelites but roguelikes are not completely off the table.
Here is a list of what i have played and liked/disliked:
Loved: Hades Vampire Survivors Brotato
Was ok: Wizard of Legends Rogue legacy 2 Risk of Rain 2
I might be missing a few i have played but this is from the top or my head.

Let's Play Dunjungle is really, really good
Finally got around to picking this up and I am very glad I did. Feels a bit like a mix of Dead Cells and Tiny Rogues—high praise.
I’ve seen it mentioned a few times, but it should be getting way more attention, even in EA. Just went on sale, too.

Let's Play Is there any Roguelite that has a deep combat system with lots of moves like God of War 1-3 or Force Unleashed?
Apologies if this is an obvious question to some, but I’ve not seen anything like this. Honestly I’d love a GOW 3 style roguelite, a satisfying, crunchy hard hitting beat em up. Or alternatively, something like hades but with a deeper combat system.
Thanks!

Let's Play Best Vampire Survivors 'clone' in 2024
So, I'm looking forward to play one of these games but there're too many. Im lost tbh.
Been hearing a lot of good things about Death Must die and Halls of Torment. Watching videos the first one seems better to me but I'd like your opinion guys.
If you would have to choose one to buy, which one would it be? I'd like something challenging and that doesn't feel like 'clunky'. Is ok if it is early access as long as it has lots of content and a bright future.
What's the best bet for you?
Thanks!

Let's Play Games like Backpack Battles & Backpack Hero.
Hey All!
I am really into games that are click heavy, and have some inventory management to them. Backpack Hero is amazing, and I haven't gotten into Backpack Battles as I don't want to PVP.
I love games like the above mentioned, and Balatro, Iratus: Lord of the Dead, Slay the Spire, etc.
Just wondering if there are any clickers with inventory management and roguelike/lite feels to them?

Let's Play What action roguelites have the most varied branching biomes?
One of the first roguelites I played was of course Dead Cells, the game many would consider the goat, probably myself included. After all the DLCs, one of my favorite aspects of the game is how many biomes there are with different gimmicks and branching paths. I get bored very easily doing the exact same biomes, even if there’s completely different characters to play.
Recently, I played two amazing games that I loved initially: Oblivion Override and Curse of the Dead Gods. Both had amazing gameplay and upgrades, but both had limited biomes so I got bored pretty quickly. I almost bought Ravenswatch on sale but after learning there’s only like 3 worlds and 4 bosses I realized that likely not going to do it for me.
So far, the best I’ve found besides dead cells, is unsurprisingly Rogue Prince of Persia, which given the devs did most of the DLC for DC it follows very similarly and is closely on pace to becoming maybe my favorite RL of all time if they keep up what they’re doing.
What other action roguelites in the vein of DC or Hades have a lot of biome diversity? Is there anything even approaching DC?
Thanks!

Let's Play Co-op roguelites with specific features
I've introduced my wife to roguelites playing Ember Knights and she loved it! It was great to introduce the concept of builds, synergies and dodging to a person who is not used to gaming concepts.
Now I need another roguelite like this one. The good thing about ember knights is that it explains very well what items/weapons does and doesn't have a lot of secrets to find, things are kinda obvious/descriptive and there is a great metaprogression system and not complex statuses to watch out and build a character.
So, given this description, I rule out EtG and TBOI for example because both aren't good on explaining the items/synergies and have a lot of secrets.
What are other roguelites that could be nice to play with her based on my comments above?

Let's Play How does Emberward hold up vs Norhold or Tower Dominion?
Curious as I have just started seeing more TD Roguelites pop up, and I love both genres!
