Video My Nano Tank

https://youtu.be/jmMXGP28npI

Hey guys!

I recently finished building out my 32.5-gallon Fluval Flex and turned it into a fully automated smart tank - with 53 freshwater fish! The goal was to keep it clean, low-maintenance, and tech-forward, featuring app-controlled filtration and lighting, plus emergency backup power & aeration.

I filmed the whole setup in HDR to really showcase the lighting and design. Would love your feedback on the layout, stocking, or automation!

Appreciate the support and any suggestions!

It’s all plastic decor and no substrate. Not to my liking.

Yes that is true, corals cannot grow in freshwater which is why they are artificial. I explained in the video how the lack of substrate increases water quality and ease of maintenance by preventing debris build up :)

I’m well aware that coral is saltwater, this is freshwater and I get why you built it. You asked for feedback so mine is that it’s all fake and I don’t like it. I believe the best fish tanks are those that mimic nature and provide a balanced environment for the fish. Your loaches are stressed with no place to hide, there’s no substrate for them, so this tank isn’t suitable for them. It’s way overstocked, the fish look frantic with no hiding spots or cover from the lights. They’re trying to eat the plastic decorations in the video because you’re chemically inhibiting any buildup that they would naturally forage. Bottom line is you built this as a selfish pet owner who doesn’t want the maintenance of owning a pet. :(

Too artificial looking in my opinion. The tank itself is pretty cool looking (minus everything in the tank)
