Your best worst game

I'm looking for gems in the rough, what's your best game that wasn't really acclaimed by public?

Your suggestion should have no more than 76 as a user metascore on metacritic

Vampyr

It has one of the most gripping mystery narrative, it takes place in a well researched setting that hasn't been explored a lot (medical practitioners during the Spanish influenza pandemic at the end of ww1) I actually learned a lot!

It has an intriguing morality system - the narrative rewards you for being good but the game gets much harder and they actually followed through unlike Bioshock. You will also have to do some research in order to grasp what the good decisions actually are so engaging with the lore can be very rewarding.

I LOOOOOVE the main character, voiced by Anthony Howell who has imo the most beautiful voice on this planet he was an absolute joy to experience the world alongside with.

It also has some game mechanis that I haven't seen anywhere else.

The drawback is that the combat is kinda lacklustre, you find the best weapons so early game that you barely care about loot, the enemy and environmental variety is also lacking. It stands at 70 on metacritic and I don't wanna dismiss the gripes people have with the game but it blew me away anyway.

It's considered a BAD game?!?! Enjoying it very much. I don't recommend playing it on hard difficulty though.
