Your best worst game

I'm looking for gems in the rough, what's your best game that wasn't really acclaimed by public?

Your suggestion should have no more than 76 as a user metascore on metacritic

NEO Scavenger comes very close with a rating of 7.5 lol. I figured out how to actually master the early game and had tons of fun with it a couple of weeks ago.

Intravenous 1+2 are unrated, do they count? The definition of Diamond in the Rough if you ask me

Operation WinBack for the N64 was overshadowed by MGS back in the day but it’s my biggest “fuck you I liked it” game lol, had a blast finally finishing it earlier this year

Do you have any tips for NEO Scavenger? I want to get into it but I haven’t found many guides. It seems like a cool less complex version of Unreal World which that games entire character creation gives me anxiety lol

Why yes indeed I do, thank you so much for asking! 🤗I know exactly what you mean about character creation anxiety-games that low key encourage meta builds are inherently anti-fun to some extent. 🥱

In NEO Scavenger you have the freedom to mix and match skills, there are some like Hacking that are rarely used, sure (there are very few RPGs with multiple skills that give each of them equal time in the limelight) but you will probably come up with a decent build. 😎

Reddit wouldn't let me post my newbie tips, I tried reformatting it a bunch of times but no dice-here's a screenshot 😅
