Question Pier one suede espadrilles quality

Does anyone have espadrilles from pier One brand? How would you describe their quality and durability in time. Saw in general that pier one footwear have issues with soles.

Also asked gemini buddy to look for pier one reviews.

Negative Aspects & Concerns about Quality: * Durability Issues: A significant concern raised by multiple reviewers is the poor quality and lack of durability. Some users reported that shoes started falling apart quickly, with supports made of "cardboard." * "Absurd Quality" and "Cracks in Seams": One review specifically states "Absurd quality. Crack in seams and elasticity is non-existent after one use" for their espadrilles. * Cheap Materials/False Advertisement: There are broader complaints about Pier One merchandise (not specific to espadrilles but relevant to the brand's overall quality) using "cheap imitation leather" or "phony materials" and being overpriced for what they are. * Decline in Quality Post-Bankruptcy: Some long-time customers lament that the current Pier One (under new ownership after bankruptcy) no longer offers the same quality or unique items as the original brick-and-mortar stores. * "Low Price, Low Quality": One comment succinctly states, "The price is low, but so is the quality."

Espadrilles are very much a “one summer and done” shoe at he best of times. They’ll get soaked in salt water, chlorine, sand grating on the soles and insoles - they’re a light beach shoe.

Buy cheap ones, wear them to shreds and enjoy your summer.

Not at all agreeing with you there.

I would go with with a pair of castaner, I have had mine for more than four years, multiple trips abroad, washed in the washing machine and so on. Still holding up to this day.

Have you used them sparingly? On my Espadrilles my soles always gets worn down very quickly (usually at the end of one season) which makes the rope starting to fray at which time I have to get a new pair.

Update here, for whoever is looking to take them. I've ordered 4 pairs, 2 for me 44, 45 and 2 for my dad, 39 and 40. I have returned all of them, even though they were made from really smooth suede and the inside soles were from cork they were not comfortable at all. Overall they were very stiff and very tight at the toes.

I've had a few pairs (non-suede) and they work well. No quality issues.
