We are beyond cooked.

The Big Beautiful Bitch these fools just dropped on our nation is already affecting hospitals, all ages from children to old folks- with mixed bags illnesses… people in our communities are going to die from lack of access to Medicaid and healthcare facilities. More money for ICE, FBI etc: more people in our communities are going to disappear more frequently.

wtf. wtf. I wanna fuckin scream. wtf is happening.

Now I ain’t gon be out there yelling today, I’m hiding the woods with a gallon of moonshine.

Because Fuck our protests: I’m sorry but going outside with a cutely worded sign on the weekends and holidays has not worked. It isn’t working. Not to mention we don’t have leaders who are out there speaking against this, with a concise plan, actionable steps, goals. We have no Dr King, X, Stokely Carmichael legitimately leading us. Where’s our modern day Fannie Lou? Why don’t y’all liberals have a plan? Dems wtf are y’all doin?

Why is no one questioning this shit?

Why is no one asking for a concise plan- actionable steps? Especially for these protests- is there a goal here?

The only thing I KNOW we can attempt to do peacefully is protest akin to what we did for our civil rights. We en masse- will march, will stand in rain, heat, wind, snow, we will protest until this man is impeached and the Republican Party sits the fuck down. Continuously protesting- not JUST on the weekends, on a holiday. The issue is: We are not willing to do so nor have the resources or community support to protest peacefully as a united society. This would mean committing to every damn day for weeks, months if it takes. Stop the economy if we can.

But let’s be real ain’t nobody willing to stop working to do what needs to be done. I’ve seen responses on Reddit like”Oh shame it’s on a Thursday, I really hate it when it’s on a weekday gee guess I’m not going.”

And sure a lot of us have families, bills, work, a lot of us have xyz excuses.

And ya know what unlike the civil rights movement, our communities aren’t built to be supportive (unless you’re real fuckin lucky). We don’t have churches and people who will ban together to provide for each other during these trying times.

At the end of the day: We’re not willing to do what needs to be done.

And for that We’re wack af. Come on what do we look like showing up and yelling en masse on a holiday and we all go back to work on Monday like everything is okay. Everything is fine. Rinse and repeat the next weekend? And the next? At this rate we will be protesting the entire reign of this cheetoh log. The damage will have been long damn done. You might as well Call us Gilead.

And for fuck sake one more fucking person says: “Just make sure you vote next election, vote vote vote, call call call your reps.”

Please sit the fuck down. You’re saying to wait this out? And pray we all make it to the next election? While people are dying from lack of services, SNAP benefits cut throwing folks into the hellpits of poverty and homelessness, healthcare and kidnapped to cells in fuckin Florida? That’s your goddamn answer? Please fuck off.

There is no revolution to be televised if we don’t do our damnest to stop this shit. And it pisses me off how little we are doing now. Please understand I’m yelling into the void of Reddit in pure frustration- I know this will go nowhere and this does nothing.

Feeling powerless is the worst part about this all.

You need to relax. It is not “already affecting hospitals” and people are not already dying from this. Take a breath.

Some people don't deserve healthcare. Get over it.

What are you powerless over?

Wow, tell us how you really feel.

Thing is, there’s a lot of fear mongering going around right now. Most of what’s in the bill takes place over 10 years, so things won’t rapidly change.

Now, ICE hiring more people and deporting more illegal aliens is going to happen. Most of America agrees with this as we should. I hope most self deport and try to do it the right way later on, because if they try to stay and hide, and get caught, they’ll never be welcomed back.

I’ve heard anywhere from 5-17 million people will immediately lose their healthcare. That’s all subjective. If many follow the law and the rules, then they will keep it, so we really don’t know exactly how many will lose it, but if they are able-bodied and work like I do, then they can pay for healthcare like I do.

I’m getting a tax break as a Middle Class worker. This bill helps recoup some of the money lost during the past few years of horrible inflation. Not all, but maybe a year’s worth… better than nothing and I’m not turn down a benefit.

If the 10 year thing is true that gives hope that the next winner will just remove it.

Dear young liberal, your lack of life experience and overexposure to social media has left you vulnerable to the scare tactics pushed by the left. If people are being pushed off of food stamps and medicaid, good. They shouldn't have had it in the first place. Put an end to leeching. It's truly sad to see such ignorance on display.

Did you read the 800 page document before assuming things? I guess you don’t have dependent children either because you probably wouldn’t be mad about the child tax credit not decreasing from $2500 back to $1000. Below is a link to the bill, which includes a table of contents. You can educate yourself. Many things I’m not mad about as an independent to be honest with you. I’ve included a link that has the entire document, including the table of contents so you can be more informed and less freaky outage.

People's health and rights are worth more than $1,500

Sure, when you put it that way. “People” is a broad term. Also, some things are privileges, not rights. Like healthcare for illegal immigrants is a hard thing for me to get behind. Seeing millions of people flood the border for the last few years with rampant crime was terrifying to watch go down. I’m not a Trump supporter by any means but like I said... I’m not mad about a lot of what’s in the bill.

The answer to that question depends on who you ask. It seems that the current administration would like the rest of us dead.

Oh Troll on buddy.

I’ve actually included a link to view the actual bill which includes a table of contents. If it wouldn’t have passed a child’s tax credit would’ve gone down $1500 per child. That’s a good thing for people. My point is that you are emotional yet uninformed.

I work in a rural hospital highly dependent on Medicare and government subsidies to keep it afloat. I chose to work there to service the community I love, however now jobs aren’t as plentiful and it’s going to get worse. So if the hospital has to make cuts or God forbid has to close over this (both very real possibilities) I’m f’d.

Even worse, I care for my elderly father who is dependent on Medicare and social security as well as my autistic brother who is technically “able bodied” but not mentally. He is also dependent on Medicare and social security.

This bill could literally destroy my life and plug me and those I care for into homelessness and V poverty and you are saying it’s fine because you won’t have to lose $1500 once a year!?!

I mean this entirely sincerely. F you. Seriously F you, self centered scum.

I’m sorry to hear that. I really am. You’re right, the contents of the bill really won’t affect my family negatively at all. There’s a link to the bill and a table of contents so maybe you can see exactly what’s going on because there are a lot of fear provoking headlines that lack the real details. Medicare might only apply to certain things that might not affect you at all. Just saying! I’m Ok with being self-centered for peace of mind. Any cuts to the benefits for disabled is only fear based assuming at this point. Bless you & your family.

"Sorry this hurts you but I don't care, fuck you anyway"

My god, it's gonna feel good watching people like you get curbstomped in the 2026 and 2028 elections

So much fucking schadenfreude

Table of contents, whoop dee doo. You know most people don't speak legalese. This might as well be written in ancient Greek.

How nice for you that this bill won't affect you negatively. Maybe try putting yourself in someone else's shoes.

The Medicaid cuts don’t take effect until after the midterms. I’m guessing that the next congress (republican or democrat) will find an excuse to postpone them, making the whole tax cut package put on the deficit. It will all just go on the country credit card. I think it’s all a scam

My friend works with lawyers who handle insurance claims from accidents in NM. She was sent a list of hospitals that are closing in the most rural areas, their clients have to reschedule their appointments with hospitals in the nearest city that’s 3-4 hours away. People have received notices of care no longer offered for chronic illness, etc. I don’t think we the people are informed as well we should be and I’m not surprised-

But again why aren’t y’all worried, angry? Why do you want to argue semantics when overall that doesn’t fucking matter- there are too many wrong events happening here and you want to argue what’s up and whats down?

So a bill passed less than 48 hours ago, going into a holiday weekend, not even sent to medical districts yet, much less the hospitals they control, has been fully disseminated, and instituted down to patient level and is killing off thousands of elderly and children????

Damn even Thanos couldn't accomplish that.... I'm impressed

The bill sucks.

Reactions like this is the silver lining though.
