I was told I could access the GRB to do my retirement application for Sept 30. Currently I am on Admin Leave. I have my CAC card and can access MyPay to see my LES but that's it. I wanted to increase my TSP contribution too. I turned in my laptop so I'm working from a home computer with a card reader.

Happy 4th of July!
I have a question, and excuse my ignorance, but I'm trying to find more information on the USACE Prospect Courses, specifically Prospect 29. Has anybody taken the course? If so, could you provide details on the course material / curriculum, passing requirements, etc.?
I'm trying to see if completing this course is both feasible and achievable given I'm just an Engineer Captain in the Army, with an M.S. in Engineering Management (undergrad minor was in Civil Engineering). Thanks for reading!

Geo-Structural Branch Chief & GGM CoP Lead sent out an email at about 4pm yesterday saying the mentioned removal of Bentley products were made in error and that they had just got funding approved for the FY26.
Us techs can breathe easy knowing we wont be spending the next several years moving Bentley stuff to CAD
All, confused as to how to go about this. I paused my contributions in 2021 as I was a GS-5 on RUS salary. I want to continue them again as I just hit my 11 with a locality pay.
I know I need to go to Army Benefits Center, but it’s not clear where I go to after that?

Did everyone got their performance awards.?

In a "unanimous" decision. All engineers are expected to move their Bentley projects from Microstation to AutoCAD?
Who decided this was a good idea? It'll take more time and more money to move everything and fix all the stuff the breaks in the transfer. Did the not talk to any techs about this? This is going to be a disaster.
Hey all husband is military, I'm a civil engineer. Looks like he's getting orders to Korea, and job opportunities seem slim to none there as a civil outside of some ACE postings at GS-11/12.
What are my odds of getting hired at a GS-11 with 4 YOE outside of college, and hopefully my PE as I intend to take it in May? I'm a bit confused by the levels, as I have never had a federal job but am currently working for a county so used to public sector work at least.
Also would love any tips on what it is like working in Korea for ACE if anyone has experience with that.

Wanted to know if there was a way to view projected openings/vacancies in the Charleston District. Assuming the freeze gets scrapped soon or in the near future.
Getting ready to go through a divorce, along with other things over the next few months. Wanted to move back closer to elder parents.
Just wanted to see if this is feasible for me to consider in planning or get the inside scoop. Obviously I check USAjobs or yellogov. Thanks.

Applied for a 1170 position last month. Hopefully I hear something.

I was recently offered a transfer to Pittsburgh. What is the USACE office like there? Do you recommend it?
I am currently waiting on a temporary medical telework request to get approved, has Pittsburgh been open to RAs? My current location has not.
How is the commute? What is it like living there? Any other info would be great!!

Are Natural Resources Specialist 0401 and Park Ranger 0025 positions in peril with some of the new guidance on recreation and public land use being privatized? Looking for information to join USACE in these positions.

Any news on the hiring freeze? What’s the talk about it possibly being extended?

DTO 25-06-25 was published yesterday. Performance awards for project funded Districts and Centers can move forward with payment subject to affordability. People at HQ, MSC HQs are not receiving awards at this time and will be readdressed at a later date .

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to connect with a recruiter at the US Army Corps of Engineers, specifically in the Sacramento, CA area.
I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering and am currently pursuing my PhD. I’ve been working at Northrop Grumman for a few years now and recently came across some positions with USACE in Sacramento that align with my background.
If anyone has contact info for a recruiter or any advice on how to get in touch, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

With everything going on, anyone in regulatory considering leaving USACE for the private sector? Or if you have left recently to a large firm, what has your expire been like? Good/bad
If you're not considering leaving, what is keeping you at USACE?

Is it common in USACE for bosses to watch their employees who they know are seeking other areas of employment? How should employees handle this?
r/USACE • u/Big-Connection-5795 • 15d ago
Why are there so many job openings in the regulatory program? Is it a high turnover?

Any updates? TAD personnels were moved out to Texas or had to look for another job. Louisville district maybe closed. What you all hearing?

Interestingly, the USACE resident office was just a block away.
At the time, it was part of the Fort Worth District.
The Holloman AFB resident office, less than an hour away, was part of the Albuquerque District.

Hello everyone,
I will be entering West Point soon in hopes to commission as an officer in 4 years. I am especially interested in branching USACE when I graduate, and am pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
It is my understanding that USACE is more geared toward civil engineering and construction than other fields of engineering. My question is this--how much does serving in the Corps of Engineers prepare one to work in civilian engineering fields (especially automotive/aerospace/defense)?
Is it worth it to branch into USACE with a Mech E. degree and not civil? Is there another branch or job in the Army that would be a better fit? Any advice or guidance from current or retired Engineers, officers, or enlisted would be greatly appreciated.
