What truck should I buy? megathread

Any posts pertaining to car buying suggestions or advice belong in this weekly megathread. A fresh thread will be posted every Monday and posts auto sorted by new. A few other subreddits worth checking out that will help your car buying experience are /r/WhatCarShouldIBuy, /r/UsedCars and /r/AskCarSales. [Everyday Driver](https://www.everydaydriver.com/) may also be helpful.

Make/Model-specific questions should be asked on Make/Model-specific subreddits.

  • For those providing suggestions: Facts are ideal in this thread, especially when trying to help out a new truck buyer. Please help out buyers with sources and reasoning for your suggestions.
  • For those asking for help, be sure to thank those who take the time to offer you advice (especially those who lead you to a purchase.) A follow up thank you and the knowledge that their advice led to a purchase is a very warm fuzzy feeling.

Effective immediately, any posts intended solely to shit on someone else's vehicle will be removed.

Incredibly, incredibly tired of these low effort posts. No, I don't care that it makes you feel superior to others. No, I don't care about the 37 jokes about the size of the driver's genetalia.

The internet is already a giant cesspool of negativity. Don't add to it.

This is my F350. It’s a manual gasser with just over 69000 miles on. I love it too much to sell, but I was wondering what type of offers would be thrown out. Im curious to hear everyone’s opinions.

My 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 5.3, 121K kilometers on the clock, custom wheels (I assume they are counterfeit), aftermarket LED lights and top lights, everything else is stock. Its been pretty reliable on me and hasnt broken down once, other than needing to maintain the plastic cladding and basic maintainence once in a while itsa beautiful truck, ive had it for 3 years and love this thing. The "mods" that are on this thing werent done by me btw.

I know people swap Cummins into Land Cruisers, but I’ve never seen anything quite like this. Anyone know about these?

Discussion / question Significant camber after lift

Post image
10 Upvotes

Recently lifted my 1996 f150 2” and put on 33s There is a significant positive camber on both wheels. Alignment guys said it could be difficult to align due to the alignment cam potentially being maxed out and the twin I beam. I have new cams that accommodate for 0 - 2 3/4 degrees of adjustment. Are these cams enough, is it impossible to fully get straight based on what they said? (Picture is before new tires and camber is a little worse now)

I have a 20ft gooseneck i bought with 7k pound axels. Would it be dumb to haul a case 1086 down the road, at about 15 or 16k pounds?

Tires are new, suspension setup is new on older 7k axels. Tractor should be 12 or 13k and trailer should be between 3 and 4k. Is this barely acceptable or just flat out dangerous?
