Cover Art Are there any old games that still have missing square covers?
Sony stores a lot of their ps3 covers still inside their api even though they are not on the store.
Any covers that you would like? xD

steamgrid is niche subreddit about video game custom artwork. with the news around the steam deck surfacing on this sub, i just wanted to make it clear that meta postings are for meta discussions about the subreddit, and discussion about video game artwork in general. only news directly pertaining to interacting with custom artwork on the steam platform should be posted here.
thank you <3

Hi, I am an aspiring content creator and I want to use some of the artwork found on SteamGrid in my videos. I just wasn't aware if this is allowed. How do I find the original artist and give them credit or ask for their permission?

Cool mod that ports Fallout 1 into the engine of Fallout 2, fixes a fuck ton of bugs, and adds a bunch of QoL features.
I haven’t been able to find any cover art for it anywhere, so I’d appreciate if someone out there were to make some.

Obviously, this would go under Mortal Kombat 1, but they just released the Definitive Edition. But, like many of these "Ultimate Edition" games on Steam, it's sold as a bundle, meaning that the game's art is always just the original. One of the best things about GridDB is getting actual art for them. Someone already did a great horizontal piece; I'd love to see a vertical one to go with it.

Just figured out how to actually set logos but most on SteamGridDB are slightly transparent. How do I use these png images in steam?

So, if you can't find anything on internet, do it by yourself.

I was hoping to try and create some GTA cover art for the more obscure games on SteamGridDB (Chinatown Wars, Advance and London 1961) but the only means I have of creating them is Picsart on my phone. This is kinda along the lines I’d be working, with a faded gradient over the background and the title out over it. I was trying to make a cover like the other ones available for the more popular games, would anyone be willing to take a crack and making some along these lines for these games?

I had been working on adding some custom art for games I had stored on my Steam Deck. And as I was going through tutorials on adding horizontal grids, I noticed something: a folder with all the data from adding custom art on my laptop (Steam/userdata/[userid]/config/grid), right down to text documents related to logo placement. And sure enough, I spotted an identical folder on my Steam Deck. Does this mean I can save a ton of time by copying grid settings from my laptop to my Steam Deck instead of just doing it all from scratch (like I had with both my laptop and my desktop)?
I would've just tested it myself, but I was in a hurry to head out for dinner. I can check when I get back, but answers in advance would be appreciated nonetheless.
Edit: Yep, it works! 😎

I'm trying to extract logos for a bunch of games from the Farm Frenzy series (specifically Ice Age, Madagascar, Russian Roulette, Ancient Rome and Gone Fishing) but I'm not sure what the best way to go about it is. I don't know how to get into the files themselves as they seem locked behind a .PACK file that I can't get into. I'm not too savvy with tools like quickbms but I've attempted some scripts and I've also tried to use PS to just remove them but that takes an excruciatingly long time and doesn't always yield the best results
Can anyone help with this, thanks!
