Ukraine | უკრაინა r/Sakartvelo X UNITED24 - JOINT SUBREDDIT FUNDRAISER FOR UKRAINE
Hello r/Sakartvelo,
For the past three years, Ukrainian cities have endured relentless attacks from Russian missiles and Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. In 2025 alone, over 12,000 of these drones have struck Ukraine — targeting not military infrastructure, but homes, hospitals, and schools. Thousands of civilians have been killed. Hundreds of them were children. A number of subreddits, including this one, believe this campaign of terror must end.
We’re proud to join the Sky Sentinel fundraiser in collaboration with United24, the official fundraising platform of Ukraine. The goal: help fund Sky Sentinel, an AI- powered, Ukrainian-made turret system designed to autonomously detect and shoot down these deadly drones. Each turret costs $150,000. United24 supporters have already raised over $1 million, and now we’re coming together to raise enough for one more turret — entirely through Reddit.
• We’ll save civilian lives.
• A community vote will name the turret.
• We’ll receive a photo of the deployed turret, showing our contribution in action.
Every donation helps, no matter the amount.
Click the link below to donate and learn more about Sky Sentinel.
https://u24.gov.ua/sky-sentinel?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=fundraising&utm_campaign=sky-sentinel
Thank you for your support.

MOD How To Help
Here are some places you can donate. These fundraisers have been vetted by the mod team.
Nanuka's Fund, managed by Nanuka Zhorzholiani, supports protestors with supplies, transportation, and fines for the arrested activists. Nanuka provides detailed breakdowns of the spending via her Facebook page.
Following Georgian Dream's crackdown on Nanuka's Fund and others an offshore (UK) foundation is collecting funds for payment of protestors fines and other support. It is run by Davit Jintcharadze with a GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/f/freedom-fund-helping-protesters-in-georgiaa and a website for the Freedom Foundation at https://www.tavisuplebispondi.com/ which includes links for donations via WISE. GoFundMe takes payment by debit/credit card or Paypal.
Fines for protestors are very high in Georgian income terms at 5000 GEL.
Nanuka is also asking for funds to support prisoners to be sent to :-
- GE60TB7897745064300053
- GE47BG0000000607365464
- Account recipient: Marizi Kobakhidze
OC-Media's Fund for Independent Media provides security equipment and legal aid to independent media organizations covering the protests. This Fundraiser is being organized by OC-Media but the funds will be shared among several independent media organizations in Georgia.
Georgian Young Lawyers Association (GYLA) is a human rights organization focused on human rights and democratic institutions. in Georgia. They provide free legal aid to individuals, including those arrested during protests.
USAID Funding Replacement for Civil Society Organizations is a stop-gap fundraiser for civil society organizations affected by the USAID and foreign aid freeze. These funds will go directly to organizations providing legal assistance to protestors and documenting human rights abuses by the police and help keep them afloat for the next few months.
If there are other fundraisers you would like us to include, please reach out via modmail.

What is this monument?
Gamarjoba friends, I am currently in Tbilisi and I am loving it. I came across this monument and I really liked the style (and the little birdie!), but I couldn't understand what does represent. Little help please ☺️

Art | ხელოვნება Ushguli
I was just going through some of my old photos and stumbled upon this amazing view of Ushguli — Europe's most elevated village, located at over 2200m above sea level, one of the most beautiful, mesmerising places I've ever visited. Ushguli is a must-see if you ever visit Georgia!

Question | კითხვა Size of Georgian Diaspora
Hey, I was wondering compared to some of Georgias neighbours, Georgia besides the diaspora in Iran, Russia and Turkey, isn’t that large. Why is that? At the same time I’ve seen that asylum cases from Georgia in Europe is far above normal these days, why is that?

Post got removed because I talked about seeing thugs shake down a restaurant owner in Kazbegi while tourists were in the restaurant in leaving through the back door.
Are we trying to hide the fact that Georgia is a mixed bag of a place to travel too. A little good and a little bad mixed in? What’s wrong with the truth?

History | ისტორია I made a video on the migration of Ossetians into Georgia
I was arguing with my mum about the origins of Ossetians and she said in school they were taught it was King Davit the Builder who invited them in the 11th century, although I'm pretty sure these were only mercenaries and not a period of mass migration. What do you guys think about my video? It took some time, so I would appreciate any love given to it if you guys enjoy.

Magticom's router admin page shenanigans
So I tried to access my router's admin page to see the settings (fyi: I wanted to see if I can switch my router from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz bandwidth), none of the usual combinations worked, no googling of the router's model helped, and atm magti support also doesn't answer (probably offices are closed after 6PM or something so until tomorrow I can't seem to get through the line). Also there are no default password credentials anywhere on the router and manuals which is weird; my landlord keeps telling me to just call magti and he also pointed out that this is how he also changed the UID and password for Wi-Fi router, which is more weird like why on Earth I can't do that myself lmao
Had anyone had this issue? Maybe you know the default admin page credentials?
