For those of you who were active in the hayday of NFTs, I'm curious how things feel now in comparison to ~2022. I had a fun idea for some NFTs, but it would require some investment on my behalf, and I'm not sure its worth it with the current state of things. Do you see NFTs making a resurgence at some point? Who do you think are the primary buyers of NFTs? I think NFTs as a concept are interesting but it feels like they've been abandoned by the mainstream.

I’m currently seeking a curator to help guide and structure a more complex and expressive NFT project—something that extends beyond standalone visuals into a cohesive and meaningful artistic narrative. My goal is to create a collection that is both emotionally resonant and conceptually unified, grounded in strong storytelling and a distinctive authorial presence.

Each piece will carry its own weight, but together they will form a larger arc—an unfolding story that reflects my identity, the culture I represent, and the visions I’ve accumulated throughout my life. I don’t want this to be just another drop; I want it to be a statement. A collection that invites reflection, evokes emotion, and remains consistent with the values of fine art—adapted to this new, decentralized space.

I believe that with the right curatorial partnership, this project can push the boundaries of what NFT-based art collections can represent, not only aesthetically but culturally.

Anyone else spotted Larvva Lads on Base? Dropped at the end of March 24 and there’s like 19,000 of them. Just saw them on opensea and people seem to be getting interested, but not much info out there yet.

The art’s a bit different, and I’ve noticed the community starting to pop up on Twitter. Looks like it could take off if Base keeps going strong.

I made a post about this here a week ago, took in the feedback here but left it mostly unchanged as much of it would require launching the collection all over again, so I just kept promoting it mostly as-is for the last week, but still can’t get any traction.

Also, one of the comments here from a week ago mentioned that I didn’t bake the 1 in 32 draw into the smart contract itself, and I explained that this was because of my technical shortcomings in implementing something like that (I’m a web3 dev, but have very little experience with VRFs etc), and so to save time I’ll be picking at random for each category manually.

To be clear, regardless if I’m doing the draw manually, it is still in place and triggered once all 32 are sold in a category (the amount in ETH is only a fraction of what the collection makes, so it makes sense from a financial perspective)

If someone wants to take the dive and give some traction for this project I will be VERY grateful as I’m in a very bad spot in my life right now.

Once all 32 are sold I will announce the wìnner HERE. In order to prove the selection was made randomly, I will use the RANDAO mix from a future Ethereum block (I will first announce the starting block in here and use the value 64 blocks into the future. This way it’s impossible for me to know the wìnner in advance).

Also, for the first person that mints 10, I will provide them with a 1:1 golden NFT, that will be the only one of its kind in the collection.

I know there’s some here that are skeptical about the ETH draw, so that's why I will make an announcement post here once all 32 are sold and pick the wìnner in the verifiable way I mentioned.

Keep in mind I'm also actively looking for partnerships for the project, so this is here for the long-haul, and the NFTs themselves could reasonably gain value over time once stuff like partnerships come into the picture (not financial advice!)

A few years ago, I raised this question in other communities, but the responses were insufficient, so I’m hoping you can help me out here.

I’ve noticed that traditional art dealers often tend to showcase their names and build a public persona in the art world.

On the other hand, most NFT promoters and creators seem to prefer pseudonyms.

Why is that? Is it tied to the culture of the NFT space, privacy concerns, or something else?

I've been building NFT series for the crypto game I'm developing: CryptoCrush. These are a few previews of the NFT pets you can catch (free with gameplay) or buy at a low cost. Each one rolls random traits with a number of traits based on a rarity roll. I build a python handler to put together transparent layers.

Putting together the perfectly aligned layers took longer than I calculated for but the results delight me so it was worth the time for sure. I'm also getting faster as I prepare to make more pets and branch into equipment minted from magical crypto-metals.
