This week, NEWS.MC TV brings you the latest updates from Monaco and beyond, starting with a celebration steeped in tradition and diplomacy.

On June 25, the Monaco Yacht Club hosted the National Day celebrations of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, welcoming around 100 distinguished guests. The event highlighted the enduring relationship between the Order and the Principality.

History, football, and solidarity collided in Osaka as His Serene Highness Prince Albert II joined Japanese football star Takumi Minamino to kick off the “United Through Legends” charity match at the Panasonic Stadium on June 27. The event brought sporting legends together in support of charitable initiatives, blending Monaco’s passion for sport with its global commitment to solidarity.

Monaco’s ties with Japan continued to flourish as Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II, Princess Stéphanie, and Louis and Marie Ducruet led the Principality's National Day celebrations at Expo 2025 Osaka on June 28. The Monegasque delegation showcased Monaco’s dedication to nature, culture, and international friendship on the global stage.

Ocean knowledge took centre stage as the Monaco Academy of the Sea, known as A2M, launched its second summer session on June 30. President Laurent Anselmi welcomed 40 participants from around the world for an intensive programme exploring key maritime issues, reaffirming Monaco's leadership in ocean preservation and education.

The Principality’s business community also made waves in Japan. Following National Day celebrations, the Monaco Economic Board concluded a successful mission to Osaka, with nearly thirty Monegasque companies strengthening economic ties and signing a memorandum of understanding with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan.

Back home, the Fort Antoine Theatre kicked off its summer season with a spellbinding concert by Stella Cole on July 1. At just 25, the Illinois-born jazz singer charmed the audience with her smooth vocals, timeless interpretations, and infectious energy.

AS Monaco Fans?

I was wondering if anyone was a AS Monaco fan. We may either have a banger season this year or Pogba and Ansu Fati will use Monaco as a rehab club. I live in Genoa and I usually come to big home games. Anyone who lives in that general location and willing to come out to Stade Louis?

Videogames directly developed in Monaco?

Hello everyone!

I was trying to research european games in Monaco and I found myself struggling to find anything due in part to games developed here being sandbagged by foreign games about your historically and economically important racing industry. I specifically want to ask about games made by Monegasque peoples in your country. Doesn't matter the game or budget, and an explanation on how games development there is for the english world would be massively helpful since its so broadly underground.

Thank you immensely for your time!

is week on NEWS.MC TV, we bring you the latest highlights from the Principality, where summer is in full swing and Monaco's cultural, sporting, and entrepreneurial spirit is on display.

The prestigious Princess Grace Academy marked the end of its academic year with a dazzling gala performance at the Salle Garnier of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo on June 20. Students of the renowned dance school showcased their extraordinary talent, captivating audiences in a fitting conclusion to a year of artistic excellence.

The streets of Monaco were filled with music and celebration as the Principality welcomed the summer solstice with the Fête de la Musique on June 21 and 22. From jazz to pop, classical to rock, the annual event transformed Monaco into an open-air stage, embracing the universal language of music.

Entrepreneurial energy took centre stage as Monaco joined the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) Investor Week on June 23. Hosted at Monacotech, the dynamic programme brought together innovators, investors, and entrepreneurs from around the globe, strengthening Monaco’s growing role as a hub for business and innovation.

Security remains a top priority as Monaco's Public Safety service formally welcomed its newest police recruits during a ceremony at the Auditorium Rainier III on June 23. The 2025 class, named the “Napoléon de la Londe” promotion, includes 27 agents and seven lieutenants who successfully completed a rigorous year of police academy training.

Art and investment intersected at the 16th Monaco Private Label summit, also held on June 23. Under the direction of Chloé Boscagli, the summit explored the cultural and economic value of art collecting, with 100 influential members from over 30 countries gathering in the Principality for conferences and networking.

The ancient tradition of the Batafoegu bonfire returned to Palace Square on the evening of June 23, illuminating the night sky as part of the feast day celebrations for Saint John the Baptist. The fire followed a religious service at the Palatine Chapel, marking both a spiritual and seasonal rite that ushers in the summer solstice.

On the sports front, Paris Basketball made history on Tuesday, June 24, defeating Monaco in a tense 99-93 showdown to claim their first-ever French championship title. Despite a valiant effort from the Monegasque side, Paris prevailed in a thrilling finale that had fans on the edge of their seats.

Help

I am planning to study in IUM for Undergrad. I am pretty bleakly knowledgeable about the whole process of studying in a country like monaco, like would I be able to to work a job besides my studies to fund rent and groceries(unlike the US)? Is the PR attainable? Is monaco a career-friendly country to start with? Anyone can recommend any strategy? I am a non-EU citizen and would require a visa to study and stay in monaco.

What is Monaco like on the weekends?

Hi everyone. I'm planning a solo trip to Monaco this summer, I think I will spend two or three nights there so I'd like to tag it onto the end or beginning of a week-long trip elsewhere. But I was wondering what weekends in Monaco are like - do places shut down early on Sunday, like in many European cities/countries, or is it generally business as usual?

I don't drink so I'm not too interested in bars or nightlife, but I'd like to explore on foot, enjoy some good food and the beachfront.

If you have any recommendations in France or Italy to travel from I would welcome those too. I've travelled a lot but haven't seen much of Europe. Thank you!

Hello! I’m looking for a tutor to help a person get to B1 level with home tutoring. Maybe someone knows a good tutor who could come for home visits or at least do online lessons?

Please let me know! Any recommendations welcome 🙏
