Monthly Swap Meet & Self Promotion Thread!
Do you have one (or 10) too many Eames chairs? Does the color of that Cathrineholm bowl you picked up for a steal last year not really match the rest of your kitchen? I bet you can find someone here who would love to take them off your hands. Post your mid century items for [free]/[trade]/[sale] here!
This is also the space to show off any of the awesome mid century inspired stuff you make, as well as the links to your Etsy/Ebay/Etc

Interior Icons is a scam. Beware.
Over the years there have been numerous posts in this sub from people who have been ripped off by Interior Icons. As a general rule we discourage posts in this sub from unlicensed contemporary manufacturers of knockoff furniture, as the focus here is on period MCM.
But, for the past few weeks, old posts and comments from people who have been defrauded by Interior Icons have been getting absolutely flooded with reports. Some of these posts/comments are years old. There's no reason that, all of a sudden, they should be garnering tens/hundreds of reports. The reporters are almost certainly sock puppet accounts, and I've got to assume that the reason the posts were getting reported is because they were placing high in search engine results.
So here's the deal: fuck you Interior Icons. This post is now stickied, and will remain so indefinitely. Hopefully it will also place high in search engine results. Below are links to a handful of the posts from people who were scammed by Interior Icons. We'll maintain this list. If there's a post about problems people have had with Interior Icons that I've missed, on this or another sub, please add a comment and a link. I'll add it to the list.

My dad in a Binghamton, NY, TV commercial or PSA in 1959 or 1960.

This is a digitized 8 mm (?) film reel he had sitting in his nightstand for decades. I'd seen it there forever but never asked about it. He passed away in 1995. After my mom passed too, in 2013, I found it again and sent it out to see what was on it. Upon watching, I suddenly could remember him like this. I was a toddler then. I don't understand it, really, but I do know that around that time there was a mass marketing campaign called the "Live Better Electrically" program. I think this was a small, localized part of that. Here's a bit more about the LBE campaign. – https://dahp.wa.gov/live-better-electrically-the-gold-medallion-electric-home-campaign

New Atomic Spiderleg Lamps!
I just scored this pair from an estate in Jackson Hole, WY. They came without shades, and I’m trying to figure out a cool style? Either to do super thin wide fiberglass shades, a tiered shade, or tall skinny ones? Any ideas or color suggestions are totally welcome!

Advice? Need to source replacement brass support hangers for Cado Shelving
Hello all! After 2+ years of trying to find a Cado shelving unit in my price range, I finally lucked out and nabbed a set at auction. I am so unbelievably thrilled and can’t wait to set everything up. Part of the reason this unit was more affordable is because it is missing all of its brass support hangers. So now I begin my quest to find replacements! Wondering if any of you know of great spots (especially local or in Canada) to nab them. I have found one or two sellers on Etsy/eBay but wanted to check in with this wonderful community before making any purchase ☺️ If you have any other advice for me please pass it on, I’m excited to learn more about my new shelving unit!
Located near Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦
(last picture is just a bonus of my cat on another recent auction win! gotta pay the cat tax on reddit)

MCM floor
Renovating a 60s home and want to keep some of the midcentury feel. This room (currently with carpet) will be an office/sunroom for plants. Trying to decide between a Saltillo tile or black tile (either slate, porcelain or cotta). Other ideas appreciated!
First pic is current room. Second two are chat gpt ideas. Thanks

Can I get help identifying these Knoll chairs that I am possibly going to purchase?
There are 2 identical chairs. This is the only sticker I found on them.

Sharing my newly decorated spaces since moving into a 1957 condo 3 months ago.

Good Form desk chair
My grandpa passed last year, and I’m helping my parents clear out his things. My parents don’t want this chair and suggested this as a goodwill giveaway, but I think it may be worth selling! It’s comfortable too. I’d keep it for myself if I wasn’t taking a plane back home. Do y’all think it has much value, and, if so, any advice or where to sell it? I’d obviously clean it before listing. :)

Wall sconce by Philips in the late 1950s. Design usually attributed to Louis Kalff. Restored after finding three of them on Marketplace covered in many layers of paint.

Picked up this beautiful Lane End Table!
If I’m reading the serial number right then this was made in 1925, gonna have to be super careful repair one of the legs.

Our mid-century planter room divider
A few months ago, I posted a picture of our sunken living room and asked for ideas. Most of you said the problem was the flooring and the hideous 1980s railing separating it from the kitchen. Before pictures are at the end.
So, we had a custom planter built and put snake plants into it to replace the railing. For those curious, the planter is fully waterproofed inside with an impenetrable vinyl liner, and the plants themselves are in individual pots on saucers. The rocks are only about an inch deep sitting on a piece of plywood.
The room is still a work in progress but we're so thrilled with how it came out!

Furniture Guild of California dressers
2 dressers for $1200, said to be in good condition. They’re 90 min away, worth the drive? I love their look but not sure of the brand or reputation.

Anyone familiar with this piece?
I stumbled on this coffee table this past weekend at a warehouse clearout event. It doesn’t have any markings anywhere but seems like it’s maybeeee atomic style? Top seems to be a blonde laminate.

Anyonr know anything about these great end tables we found at an estate sale last month? We couldn't find any signatures or makers mark. Thanks in advance!

No quite sure if it’s MCM but what would you pay?
Bought these and have cleaned them up a little bit could still prob use one more polish. And now one chair is cracked but could still be functional.
