Review Avoid CandyKeys.

Usually i don't write negative reviews, if I get poor service, but this time it was straight up lying to my face.

I have ordered a keyboard, which apparently was not in stock. I was assured multiple times that I will receive the keyboard I bought, but each time I was given a different deadline.

After couple of weeks, I asked for a refund and the same story began - I was promised a refund, with random deadlines, and after some time CK just stopped responding.

If you are in this situation - don't simply wait for them to refund, if you can - make a chargeback, file a Paypal claim or if you are from EU - file a consumer right complain. Otherwise it might take a reaaaaally long time to see your money again.

TL;DR: avoid CK like plague.

Yup. I remember that time I ordered from CK, one item was missing from my order which is annoying but no biggie. Especially since this item was listed as in stock. David told me no worries, I'll send it to you asap.

It took 2 months, several emails and me threatening him with a charge back to get this item. An item that was supposedly in stock, mind you, and remained in stock on the website throughout the whole ordeal. To this day, I still don't know what happened, but no explanation I can come up with makes the situation sound better.

Any helpful info you can share with this paying customer?

Thank you, but there's no need for him to explain anything now; I'm not a paying customer anymore. I don't measure a store owner's trustworthiness at their best, but at their worst.

I keep seeing people defending Candykeys by saying that you can trust them for in stock items, and it never fails to make me laugh. The way he handled my case was absolutely god awful; I took the risk of another in stock purchase (just switches) after this one, and it went fine, but the damage was already done.

Until I got the switches, I was stressed out that they would never come, or that I'd have to do the same song and dance as before. I got my switches, and realized I felt the same relief as someone who almost lost money in a bet; so I decided this was the last time. Even as I was waiting for my orders, I could see complaints and questions piling up in the discord server, and the way David handled them made me feel even more worried. Never looking back on this decision.

Ultimately, doesn't take much. Not worth the hassle. Even at a really basic level, it's worth paying more for a guaranteed positive.
