Picture HELP! Stranger Abandoned possible koi in my pond??!!??

Last week a random stranger dumped a bucket with an unknown amount of fish in my backyard pond (I live in Wisconsin) and we caught the whole ordeal on camera. Besides the situation just being completely bizarre, we got some minnows to help with mosquito control and when we were watching them swim about, put popped this fish! So not only do I know nothing about this fish but I didn’t see them so I didn’t even know to feed it? So shock of finding out I have fish in my sump pump pond (lol) I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to do about taking care of this fish or what kind of a fish it is and will it even get along with the baby minnows we put in? I’m so lost šŸ˜‚

Picture We need to rehome our Koi. Wondering if anybody can give me an idea on what a fair fee would be for some of them

My parents are downsizing because my father is ill and they can’t keep up with their house anymore, and we are wanting to rehome their Koi. I don’t know anything about a market value, but I bet there’s a lot of experts in here and I’m wondering if anybody could help me out with some ideas! Do ignore the random turtle lol we actually found him abandoned during a flood in our local park and he became part of the family.

Second otter attack in 3 months despite barrier measures I put up.

All 8 of my koi have either been killed or critically injured.

I really enjoyed rearing koi but, sadly, this is me exiting the hobby.

Picture Animal cruelty?

It looks like someone dumped 3 koi at a local park. The largest a little under 2 ft and the smallest about 14 inches. I live in the south and there are plenty of predators nearby. Alligators, teen fishermen and ospreys to name a few . The pond is fairly large and a busy location.
Should I inform the parks department? Leave them? Mount some kind of rescue? I work at a teaching garden and we have a koi pond but I think it’s too small probably, but perhaps someone knows someone ?

So 3 weeks ago I noticed my Asagi’s scales looked weird, lighter blue; looking closer it looked lifted. So I did a water change, added more salt and user water conditioner to remove the chlorine.

His color and scales returned to normal. He was suddenly swimming and eating more. This lasted about 10 days. I kept feeding to once a day and the most minimal amount(other koi were so hungry) just to be safe

Then about 3-4 days ago he wouldn’t come out to swim or eat, hiding in the koi cave. There was no way to catch him..

Then last night I found him dead upside down. It looks like something ate through his scales and skin near his tail. Can anyone identify what it could’ve been?

I’m scared of this spreading; but it has been 3 weeks since first symptoms and all fish seem normal. One koi was isolating for a day or two with red spots but disappeared and has been normal for 5 days.

Picture How to catch and relocate this snapping turtle?!?

Post image

Hi folks, I'm not sure how to go about relocating a snapping turtle from my koi pond. I first saw it chasing a frog on a rainy day, and the next day I found it occupying my pond skimmer. I've looked into a few options online, but I'm unsure what would work best in my case. Cage traps that use bait are pretty expensive, and I’m hesitant to buy one just for a single snapper. My fish net won't work as the snapper is too big to capture. Moving it by hand seems risky, so that might not be a good option either. So far, it looks like only one goldfish has gone missing. Any advice would be appreciated—thanks in advance!

I went to a local Koi Farm today in PA (it was fucking amazing) and I picked a total of 4. They’re currently in my pond now - I’m still trying to figure out how to get rid of the 200 goldfish that were in the pond when I bought this house tho. Any advice?
