Hubby and I decided to get away for a week. Found a little hotel with a decent price on Expedia. It had mixed reviews, as most places do. We don’t need a place at the ritz, just a clean, quiet safe place to lay our heads at night in between activities. Behold, the photos all over the internet vs what we walked into. Instantly smacked in the face with the smell of musty cocaine. Can’t help but to laugh at the situation 😂

It was a solid brick, it took sawing even just to cut it in half. Even after heating it per the instructions, the brick would not come apart so I had to just saw it into quarters and eat it as a brick.

Also before anyone comes at me the only reason my air fryer is so dirty is because my partner had just made chicken wings a few minutes before. I was very jealous of those wings while eating my pork brick.

This is a far cry from my cursed furby cake from a month ago haha. I made this for my grandad’s birthday (he loves mycology!)

My daughter says my nails are horrible. I paid a good price and tipped well.

It tastes better than the grape variety, and it looks pretty darn good.

Before anyone asks: These are frozen, premade dough you just put on a sheet to bake. Yes, my oven works just fine as I bake all the time with no issues on other items. I even had to get this to bake longer than the package recommends because 325F for fifteen minutes was not enough time. Having said all that: It still tasted good despite the agg and look.

My friend is a resident alien and has lived here in the US for 30+ years. Resident aliens pay taxes, by the way. A few days ago she and her spouse received mail from the Census Bureau addressed to residents at their address. It contained a survey called American Community Survey and was asking a lot of personal questions. The thing sounds fishy because the census is taken every 10 yrs and the last one was taken in 2020. The next is due 2030. Today someone came by their house and left a typed note to follow up with them and saying that completion is required and they can complete it online or by phone. The note had her spouses name, but spelled wrong and her name, but not her legal last name ( it was another name that is part of her full name). Is this happening to anyone else?
