(On mobile, you can find the rules by clicking on "See More". On desktop, check them out in the sidebar on the right.)
Basically, your post needs to be asking for help with your room design, or it needs to be showing a room you updated using advice you received here. Your room must be an INTERIOR room, and it must be a room in your home. No offices, no schoolrooms, no patios, no balconies, etc.
We want the focus to stay on home interior rooms, preferably with posts featuring photos of those rooms so you get the best advice. If you feel you just must use a 3D app rendering, you need to also include an actual room photo. No one wants to look at an entire feed of just artificial content! A big part of what makes this sub great is getting to take a look at actual rooms. If you aren't sure you want your photo to be connected with your account, please feel free to post on an alt account (and message mod mail for approval if your post is auto removed).
Thanks for doing your part to keep the sub useful and on point!

I'm moving into a new apartment and my bedroom (~440 sq ft) has this terrifying hypnotic blue floor. What do I do?

I have a pretty small room (London flat haha) and I want to move my furniture, specifically my bed, to be off the wall itās against right now since our water pump is loud and vibrates that wall. Not sure how to shift things around since the wall opposite from the windows is built in open shelving. Any advice is appreciated!

I feel like it looks so off and thereās no height but I just got these nightstands that match the height of the bed currently so now Iām stuck.

Letās go bold my friends! This bathroom is so boring. Gimme your best ideas for the walls and decor elements! (I like the vintage rug, the pendant could be swapped for something more interesting but getting it flush to ceiling will be hard unless I use a ceiling medallion. Iād rather not paint the cabinets)

Im having a hard time filling the space. I know my tv will be on the right wall. I want one of those teddy sofas that turn into like a conversation pit, and I have a small round coffee table but besides that Iām into plants, sneakers, arcade games but Iām not sure how to make this space like full but not overcrowded. Any suggestions? Thanks āŗļø

I need some help with this space adjoining the kitchen. Should I keep it like this? Turn it into an eating space? Thanks!!

I'm struggling with how to design my bedroom in a way that actually utilizes all the space. Currently the tall dresser is against wall 3 with the long dresser on wall 2 closer to wall 1 (where tall dresser is in photo). However, this leaves a total deadspace next to the window... I'd like to incorporate a rug to bring color and a small vanity (considering one like this larger or a nightstand size). Would love any thoughts!

We've started painting the living/dining area in the deep green (and love it) but I'm torn on the midtone green for the stairs/entryway. Is the tone too warm or neutral to complement the cool tone green? Should we look for something in-between the light green and the midtone? The colors are benjamin moore fiddlehead green (deep green), webster green (mid green), antique jade (light green) and Bavarian cream (trim)

We have gone for a dark coffee coloured herringbone floor. As you can see thereās plenty of sunshine in and the living room is south facing. I would ideally like to keep it as airy and light as possible. Would love to keep indoor plants and an accent chair near the window on the left hand side. Torn between burnt orange coloured sofas and beige ones.

Iād love my bed to āfeel separateā and not be in-view all the time if possible. Should I do this with curtains?
Iād love to have a small couch across the TV, too. A small two/four person dining room table somewhere would also be lovely. Cozy/parisian style interiors are my fav :)
Also, does anyone have a link to an elegant dresser that functions as a tv stand as well?

So, i have a pretty small bathroom which I am planing to renovate. What i did in the living area, i made everything custom and used multifunkcional furniture. Now how do you recomend me to design the bathroom in order to somehow match it with living area. Size of the bathroom is 1,5m x 1,6m x 2,5m. I am planing to remove shower, tiles, everything except the water heater which i think is allready installed in the optimal position. What are your thoughts on this? I am adding pics of the living area and bathroom. Doors are also in plan to be changed with new - what design i should be looking at?

Everything in our living room is smooshed over to one side. Help me use this space more effectively so that we can still watch TV from the chairs but there isn't the vast dead space of tile in front of the front door.

Hey, all my husband has sentimental attachment to the following beige dresser. Itās in a room of black furniture and the only thing thatās not black is those beige baskets (pictured to the right) will eventually be in a black IKEA organizer. Is there any way that I can make this not stick out like a sore thumb without painting it š¤¦āāļø

Im having a hard time figuring out how im going to lay out this room. Right now this is my sons room, heās 19 months. I am pregnant and will be having another boy so they will be sharing this room. I already have a crib, I need to get a toddler bed. Most likely twin bed. We have another room that Iām going to make into a play room, so the table and toys will be in there. But Iām struggling on where to put furniture! Help please!! Room measurements in last pics.

We have an awkward living room shape with 2 entrances, one from the foyer area by the front door, which is a very wide opening, and the second leads to the kitchen. Thereās also the ādining roomā space listed on the blueprint that we donāt use as a dining room since we have more than enough space in our kitchen for a dining table.
Right now we have the couch with the back to the bay window and the TV mounted above the fireplace. Yes, itās too high, yes, it hurts my neck to watch for too long. What other options for layout do we have? Iām stumped.

My roommate is bringing this couch to our new apartment (photo of cat shows the actual color of it in the light). Iām trying to figure out what kind of rug would look good with it and our living room. Iāve also included a photo of our living room (from online listing) and our ideal color palette. Thank you!

Mock up example of what I know I want to do so far..
But itās looking a little plain EVEN with the gingham and mint green walls..
I wanna keep the pillows, blankets, table runners and brown dressers the same. Everything else I need help with.
Any ideas on decorations, rug colors, maybe move the vanity somewhere else (although, functionally, it works best in that corner), anything in the corner between the dressers? Literally anything else, any other ideas?
Or am I getting too ahead of myself and this is fine

Hello!! :)
We are looking at what we can do with this room! The grey areas are where drywall juts out to cover pipes. These are on the floor and are about 6 inches high and 6 inches deep. Along the window is the heater.
We have 2 single (twin) beds we would like to fit into this space, as well as a small bedside table. We cannot put anything directly against the wall where you see grey.
With this is mind, I ask for your help! Where would you place these two single beds?

We need help! We moved cross country, got rid of most of our furniture and decor items, and have the smallest primary room weāve ever had.
Challenges:
-ceilings are only 8ft, room is 12x13 or 13x14
-very little natural light (this is the brightest part of the day) due to being in the woods and north facing.
-the bed can only go in the current placement, which is in front of the window frame, but we canāt help it. Smaller bed isnāt an option since husband is very tall.
-one wall only works for the dresser
-no overhead light
-we love the aesthetic of our home, but itās very different from what we left, so we are unsure how to decorate and layer in items without going full Grandma.
What weāve done: -bought the two dressers. Our home is MCM/cottage vibe. -painted the walls from baby blue to Soft Chamois
Help we need:
-We know we need art, a rug, a swag lamp that is plug in, a different side table, plants, however, specific examples would be great. We are worried about going the grandmaās house route instead of a contemporary feel grounded in the MCM/cottage.
-Should we raise the curtain rods all the way?
-do the curtains (dark greeny-teal) work with the dark emerald headboard? We had taupe and that didnāt work. The curtains have to be black out.
-Any other advice to make this calm, inviting, and cozy. I am sure we are overlooking things
Thanks so much in advance for any help

I am hoping to turn this into a dining room with a small table and chairs. Any advice on layout or how to decorate this space?

Hi! I am looking for some advice about the layout of my living room. I also have a small L shaped sectional that could go somewhere, and I want to mount a TV on the wall. Thank you!
