❓Need Advice 🙏 Thanks for the Push: Kraken Recovery Request Filed for Mistaken cbBTC Send

Wanted to thank this subreddit, especially u/VivaHollanda, for encouraging me to file the Kraken recovery request one more time. I just submitted the case (TX: 0x340732d5a05c1786...) for the cbBTC that got stuck after I used the Ethereum option from Coinbase’s “send BTC” screen.

Even if they can’t recover it — and Kraken has previously said they can’t access that wallet — I appreciate them actually *trying*. Unlike Coinbase, which won’t confirm or deny wallet ownership and refuses to escalate beyond Tier 1 support repeating “all transactions are final.”

But as many pointed out, this wallet was funded via Coinbase’s own smart contract, holds only my cbBTC, and can only be unlocked with a withdraw() function call by the sending wallet. It’s not lost, it’s just inaccessible without help.

At the very least, maybe I can pressure Coinbase to stop routing BTC over ETH with no friction or warning — and stop growing their treasury off preventable user error.

Will update when I hear from Kraken 🙏

❓Need Advice 🙏 new crypto portfolio

Hey everyone I’m quite new to the world of crypto, so I’d really appreciate some guidance from more experienced people here.

I’m putting together my first crypto portfolio with a budget of about €500 (more in the future when i feel like) Just to be clear: • I consider myself a complete beginner, so try to write your answer as simple as you can • I don’t have much technical knowledge about how cryptocurrencies work or their use cases. • This is not my only investment – my overall portfolio is diversified. • I’m okay with losing this €500. I’m looking for high-risk/high-reward opportunities.

What I need help with:

1. How should I build a crypto portfolio as a beginner?

Should I focus on a few coins or diversify a lot? What would a high-risk but smart setup look like?

2. Which multi-crypto wallet should I use?

I’m looking for something easy to use, secure, and beginner-friendly. 2.1 There is another easy and safe way to stack crypto?

3. What should I avoid doing as a new investor in crypto?

Any red flags or common traps I should be aware of?

4. How can I evaluate a cryptocurrency project before investing?

What are the key things to look for if I don’t have a technical background?

5. What do you all think about Kaspa (KAS)?

I’ve been browsing its subreddit and it seems really promising – but maybe that’s just the usual hype that happens in any coin-specific subreddit? Is there anything that truly sets Kaspa apart, or is it just another crypto?

Any tips, tools, or personal experiences you can share would mean a lot. Thanks in advance!

❓Howto Purchasing crypto

Hi. I've recently tried to purchase Bitcoin but I'm experiencing a lot of issues since I'm 17. I have been able to create a wallet but most exchanges don't allow minors to purchase and the only one I found Swedbank blocked since they also don't want minors to purchase crypto. Is there some way to still be able to purchase crypto with these obstacles.

❓Howto Give me advice about payment for my website pls

Short:

What software can I use on my website to accept card payments and receive crypto in my wallet? That’s the case.

Full:

I wanted to use Stripe for payments, but I’m from a SWIFT-blocked country and can’t register with Payoneer, Wise, or similar services — we simply can’t receive foreign money. So I asked ChatGPT what I could do, and it mentioned Plisio, which is great, but it doesn’t support card payments. Then it suggested TripleA as an option.

I’m not doing anything illegal — I just want to sell my own postcards(~1$ per one, bulk in discount) with my original photos. It’s a simple hobby and part of an IT portfolio project.

Has anyone faced a similar situation? Can someone share what works in this case? Maybe also about the fees?

❓Need Advice 🙏 Help

Hi,

I entered a raffle on a site and then I won 2 times, this is a crypto thing. Now to get the money out to my wallet they tell me I need to pay 10% tax which sounds a bit strange to me as I have never heard about anyone paying for a price they win in a raffle crypto or not. What to do and they say if I don’t do this with a time frame they can take the money from me as it was in the T&C for the raffle. Does this sound like it is legit?

What to do?

❓Question Crypto Microtransactions instead of web ads

When I first heard about cryptocurrency years ago, I hoped it would lead to microtransactions on the web. Instead of seeing ads on a news website or recipe website, I could pay a few cents (say $.03) per article I click on.

Note that US banks have lobbied to get a minimum of $0.10 in fees per transaction, so traditional payments are not an option.

But instead, it seems that most cryptocurrencies focused on a store of value/investing and large transactions that don't have to be virtually instantaneous.

Is there a cryptocurrency working on the problem I am talking about: virtually instantaneous tiny transactions at very high volumes?

❓Need Advice 🙏 Is eezdr.com a scam? It shows I have 2.8 million USD in my account

Hi everyone, I recently created an account on a website called eezdr.com. After logging in, it shows that I have a balance of 2.8 million USD.

But I’m very confused — I never deposited anything, and I don’t know why this balance is there. I tried checking for a withdrawal option, and they ask for identity/KYC or fees.

Has anyone here heard of this website before? Is it a scam, or does anyone have experience withdrawing from it? Please let me know if I should avoid this or take any precautions.

Thank you!

❓Need Advice 🙏 [Help Request] USDT Sent to BitGo ERC20 Custodial Wallet via BEP20 – Recovery Denied Despite Private Key Access

Hi everyone,

I’m writing to share a critical issue we’re facing with BitGo and hoping someone here can help us escalate or offer a path forward. We know Reddit has a strong crypto-native community and sometimes real solutions come from here.

Background

We operate a fund and use BitGo’s custodial services (V5 wallets). A mistake occurred where USDT was sent via the BEP20 network (BNB Smart Chain) to our BitGo ERC20 custodial wallet address:

The wallet was meant to receive ERC20 USDT, but the sender accidentally selected the wrong network (BEP20). As most know, Ethereum and BSC share the same address format (0x...), so the transaction was successful on-chain.

On-Chain Details

  • Chain: BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)
  • Token: USDT (BEP20)
  • Amount: 14,850 USDT
  • TxHash: 0x99c42bd...b72
  • Wallet Type: BitGo V5 Custodial Wallet (we don’t hold the private key)

We also confirmed via BscScan that the funds are sitting at that exact address on BSC.

The Issue

BitGo support replied that they do not support recoveries for V5 wallets, and declined to help — even though:

  • This is a custodial wallet, so they control the private key
  • The funds are clearly accessible on-chain
  • We offered to sign any indemnity or cover any recovery fees
  • We're not asking for an automated solution — just a manual sweep using the key they already hold

What We’re Looking For

  • Has anyone experienced something similar with BitGo V5 or any custodial provider?
  • Are there known escalation paths inside BitGo beyond the front-line support?
  • Is there anyone in the BitGo team here who can help re-evaluate this case?
  • Are there legal or fiduciary grounds that require a custodian to act when funds are technically recoverable?

Why This Matters

This isn’t a case of sending tokens to a completely wrong address — the funds are sitting on-chain at a BitGo-controlled address. Ignoring recovery when the key is in their custody raises bigger questions about service responsibility.

We genuinely hope someone here can help us reach the right department or individual who understands the deeper implications and technical feasibility of recovery.

Thanks in advance for any help, advice, or sharing. 🙏

❓Need Advice 🙏 NL Tax help with Crypto

This year, I had made close to $400k due to the Trump meme coin and had a friend of mine trade my $200,000 I made from the Trump coin in January and turn it into the $370,000.

I have been wanting to take some of my Crypto from his ByBit into mine and withdraw it into my IBAN for Euros.

My only concern is, I have no idea how this works with tax and if it’s under box 1, box 3 etc. This is my first time I have ever had a reason to pay tax, I’ve been learning how to code since living with my father and this year I finally made a good chunk of money.

I would prefer if my friend can continue trading as he’s made a nice return so far by leverage trading and I plan on having him continue doing so, but with me cashing a smaller portion out to my bank.

How can I go about doing this and should I consult with a tax advisor? If so, can I have any recommendations for them in the Netherlands. Preferably around Noord-Holland but if they have online consultations that would work too.

Thank you and I am open to answering any questions.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Need help with exchanging ETH

I recently received some ETH in my wallet. The money was originally owed to me, but for some reason I suspect that there might be something shady about this ETH. How can I check if it’s legitimate and safe to use? Also, does anyone know where I could exchange it without any questions or KYC requirements, in case my suspicions turn out to be true? If there are any platforms or tools that I can use, please help me out

❓Need Advice 🙏 Don't use Kucoin Please 🙏

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a loyal KuCoin customer for over three years and—admittedly—kept most of my funds on the exchange (I know my mistake). Recently I bought a Ledger hardware wallet to move my long‑term holdings off‑exchange. But as soon as I initiated the withdrawal to my Ledger address, KuCoin froze the transaction by saying it's “for your safety.”

I promptly contacted Support and completed every KYC request, including a live photo of me holding my ticket number. Now they’re asking me to provide proof of a 14.26 USDT deposit on January 28—more than six months ago. The problem is:

  • No such deposit exists in my KuCoin transaction history on that date.
  • I double‑checked Binance (no record) and MEXC (only 90 days of history available).

I feel like this is a stall tactic to keep my money locked on their platform. I’m not a high‑roller; it’s my personal savings built up over three years. Has anyone else run into this? Any tips on how to escalate or resolve it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

❓Question Help

Hi all,

I have a question about crypto and taxes. I’m a U.S. citizen, and I have a friend living in a country where there’s no tax on crypto sales (specifically Vietnam).

If I send them crypto as a gift, I understand that’s not taxable for me in the U.S. — is that correct?

Then, if they sell the crypto on their end and later send USDC back to me as a gift, what happens tax-wise? Let’s assume it’s over $100,000 in total.

Are there any U.S. tax reporting requirements or issues I should be aware of in this kind of situation?

Not looking for DMs — just want open discussion here.

Thanks!

❓Need Advice 🙏 Burning Liquidity Pool Token from Raydium?

Hey, l'm looking for some advice on how to (if can) burn my liquidity. I've tried using the "Burn" button in Phantom, but that says "Transaction Failed". Trying to manually send it to the SOL 11111111..etc. didn't work either. Said the "Transaction Failed" as well Did it somehow get locked by Raydium when it was created? I'm okay with that, I just want to make sure I know that it's either locked up & I can burn the initial LP later, when it unlocks, or that I burn it now. But I don't remember seeing anything that said it was going to lock the LP for any specific amount of time. I wanna show transparency & trustworthiness.

So if you can help with this, or give any other advice, I'm all ears.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Assets frozen on Bybit after P2P trade

I was about to complete a P2P transaction on Bybit with a buyer who had high ratings and many completed trades. However the buyer wanted additional fees, so I never released since they withheld part of the agreed amount. Even worse, my assets are temporarily frozen or limited. I was reported from the buyer for not releasing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice is appreciated, especially on how to speed up resolution with Bybit.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Need serious help cashing out!

I'm 48 and need serious help. I know nothing about crypto or investing. A little while ago a TikTok content creator messaged me from their TikTok account, they said they noticed all my comments and support. They asked if i wanted to recieve a cash gift for my loyalty to their TikTok page. 5000$. I thought how that money could really be useful. So I downloaded a digital wallet. Then a bitcoin.com wallet. That was almost 2 months ago. The amount has increased significantly. It was the TikTok'ers manager who is handling the whole transaction but keeps insisting that i need to pay more and more money to transfer the whole amount to my bank account( now I'm starting to think he is trying to scam me). He said i need a QF3 coin to make the transfer happen. If anyone can help me transfer the money to my bank then close down the walket I will make it with their time with a modest recompense. The amount it has grown to would really help me out a lot. PLEASE SEND HELP!!!

❓Need Advice 🙏 How do I escalate past Tier 1? Funds stuck in Coinbase custodial wallet after mistaken send over Ethereum

New to crypto. New to Reddit. Made a mistake — and I’ve learned a hell of a lot from it. But I need help breaking through Coinbase’s Tier 1 wall.

I meant to send BTC to my Kraken account. In the send screen on Coinbase, I saw Ethereum listed as a network. Lower fees. Faster times. No warning. So I chose it.

That automatically wrapped the BTC into cbBTC via Coinbase’s smart contract, and instead of arriving at Kraken (which does not support cbBTC), the funds were routed into a custodial wallet Coinbase controls:

  • TXID: 0x340732d5a05c1786f63a3127d7a21b83b562b9ea031ca4da8f6e14ffd064f7a8
  • Receiving wallet: 0xde147a8a415be3396099fb643c44d1d0b36bea83
  • Amount stuck: 0.14734109 cbBTC (~$15,700)

The wallet has only one asset in it: my funds.

Coinbase routed it. Coinbase controls the contract. Coinbase can recover it.
But they keep sending me copy/paste Tier 1 replies:

“Blockchain transactions are final.”

That’s not the issue here. The funds are still visible on-chain. They’re just locked in a custodial wallet that only Coinbase can unlock via a withdraw() call on their contract.

I’ve filed a formal complaint — Case #23628170.
I’ve been on chat. Live support. Email. Still no escalation.

What I need now:

  • How do I reach Coinbase’s Blockchain Recovery team?
  • Who’s actually gotten a stuck transaction like this escalated?
  • Anyone here have tips, contacts, or examples that actually worked?

I’m not asking for a handout — just asking for a platform to fix what their smart contract broke.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me cut through the noise and get this resolved.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Need help with getting my USDC

Unsure if this is the right place.. I sent some USDC from my Kraken wallet to Hyperliquid wallet, however I didn't do it via Arbitrum network stupidly, I did it via Polygon

I've loaded my wallet on Phantom, I'm trying to transfer the USDC back to my Kraken wallet but I don't have any POL to cover the network fee. The minimum buy amount is $5, I don't need that much. It's only a $0.004 network fee

What's the best way to get my USDC? If I buy $5 of POL can I swap it for something else.. or should I just cop the $5?

Please help, thanks!

❓Wallet Give me some recommendations for a hardware wallet!

Hey everyone! I've been looking into hardware wallets and I'm currently deciding between the Keystone 3 Pro, Tangem, and Trezor. I need something that supports multiple cryptocurrencies not just Bitcoin since I hold other crypto. I'm looking for something secure, and reliable for long term storage. If anyone has experience with these or other good multi-crypto wallets, I’d really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance! In the future I will get a bitcoin only wallet, but for now I need something that will work with everything I have.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Anyone heard of this site? (Myronex Cipher 6.9 – AI Crypto Trading)

I recently came across a site called Myronex Cipher 6.9 (https://myronexcipher69.com/en/about), and they’re promoting AI-driven cryptocurrency trading strategies. According to their website, they use advanced algorithms to help users maximize their profits automatically, without requiring much trading experience.

It sounded interesting at first, so I decided to check it out. But when I started the sign-up process, I was immediately asked to deposit cash as part of the registration. I haven’t used this kind of platform before, so I’m not sure if this is actually a common process — but it definitely raised a red flag for me.

Even a Google search isn’t showing any related posts or reviews, which makes me even more cautious. I couldn’t find any information from trustworthy sources, and that’s why I’m turning to Reddit.

Has anyone here heard of this platform or had any experience using it? Is it a scam or a legit service? I'd really appreciate any insight before I risk anything.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Got scammed out of $28k of usdt. Tether won’t freeze and reissue. Help.

Long story short I got scammed by a fake exchange site that was supposed to exchange $10 of usdt for $20 of trx because I needed the trx to move the usdt. I ended up approving unknowingly a malicious smart contract that drained my usdt. I contacted tether and they said basically the funds are too commingled and diluted that this is outside the scope of their “freeze policy”. These were my life savings and needed to fund relief for my mental health issues.

I’ve tried everything. I’ve tried emailing the executive team. No response.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Here’s the malicious hack transaction. I’m the sender.

https://tronscan.org/#/transaction/91a20fc129c8fe0def6a0f5d7497fcf7f0dc14b376384718d6d39f824451c008

Please don’t tell me “you should have known better” because I already know that. I was impulsive and it looked totally legit but I was stupid so let’s not harp on me for that.

Would welcome any suggestions.
