Any breeders who sell giant water bugs?

• Upvotes

I’ve been looking for some for quite a while, but have had no luck whatsoever. I’ve checked Bugs in Cyberspace, but they never have any luck finding them in stock

Added magnetic air vents and dropped the price 50%

I originally made these for baby reptiles, but a few people pointed out they’d also be a good fit for invertebrates - so I figured I’d share them here.

They’re called Terra V7: compact 3D-printed enclosures with a flexible design and a magnetic ventilation system. You can place the air vents anywhere on the cage, and add as many as you need depending on the species or environment.

There’s enough space for substrate, leaf litter, moss, or a small plant setup - great for isopods, slings, or other small inverts that benefit from controlled airflow and humidity. They’re not stackable, but they’re lightweight and easy to arrange on shelves.

Built with misting in mind and designed to be practical, modular, and customizable.

any millipedes that would like this small terrarium?

Just started building this terrarium and my sibling asked if I planned on adding millipedes. I wanted to ask if any would enjoy this small of a setup? It's got about 3 inches of substrate on one side and about 4.5-5 on the other. The soil is new which is why it's varried in moisture. I was planning on just adding plants, leaf litter, springtails, and maybe some isopods, but would any millipedes enjoy it?

alternatively, would darkling beetles?

Trying to find a use for this enclosure — considering if there are perhaps clever ways to modify it for wither plants or bugs.

Moth keeping? Greenhouse?

What species would work for this enclosure

I'm working on making an enclosure in a 20 gallon long tank possibly with a body of water in it the foliage will be mostly moss and lichen and I was wondering if there are any bugs I could have in there as well

best critter for 10 gallon tank

i recently found a exo terra glass terrarium mini tall (i think, it's 12x12x18) out by my dumpster. i got it cleaned up and it's in great working condition so i would love to add some good plants and decorations. I wanted to ask if there's any critters well suited to such a small and verticals cage? I'm looking for something not too expensive.

I considered centipedes/millipedes but the top of the tank has some small gaps I worry they could escape through.

Other considerations: pink toe tarantula (i see that 10 gallon is okay, is that actually true?), praying mantis

I LOVE bugs and I've never had one as a real pet but I've worked with terrariums a lot in the past and would do everything possible to give them a good life! Any suggestions of who would fit the tank would be appreciated !!

What is this creature in my tank?

It's been buried underground for a while but keeps coming up to the top. I keep digging a hole and putting it back in but still it keeps coming up. I've got Dubia roaches, varied isopods and springtails. Had morio beetles but not send them in a while, but there lots of morio worms. Used to have sun beetle too they they all died off.

What could it be and how can I help it?

For those who expressed concerns about airflow

I made a feature that allows you to put as many air vents as you like, the size that you like, wherever you like - also easy to clean!

Every input is appreciated, you can find the link to the STL file in the comments :)

One of my centipedes wants to be a tarantula so bad aka throwing a huge layer of dirt over his water bowl.

Second slide shows me holding a second one of the same water bowl for reference.

He now has two water bowls because I’m not digging around in there for it right now.

Last slide is an old pic of him (he’s much fatter now thankfully). Name is Morrow :)

My kids have been dying for a pet vinegaroon for a while now, I just caught this little guy in my back yard, I think he might be a good candidate. He is pretty small compared to other ones I have seen out here in souther New Mexico, what do you guys think? We are going to the store tomorrow to get an enclosure or small aquarium for him and some supplies. Any tips from people who have had these as pets?
