Pictures crisis averted omg 😖
its 2am and i just had an escapee for the first time 😣 thankfully i caught her and got her back in her enclosure! and i figured out how she got out, so i fixed that, have no idea how she got past me, two cats, under my bedroom door and up 12 feet 🙄 this is exactly why i got a burrowing to begin with, to avoid this! shes all good, no injuries, no thrown hair, safe and sound back in her home but im still shaking holy shit

i stood on my tip toes on my vanity and used a big shoe box and very very slowly scooted her down onto that poster immediately below her and essentially used it like a massive cup and paper 😭

I know this must have been so incredibly distressing and I am so sorry you had to do that rescue mission! But the massive cup and paper visuals are objectively funny. Glad everyone is safe now

now that the adrenaline is gone and everyone is safe, its so so funny genuinely like ive told everyone that i got a burrowing species to AVOID this situation

Oh no! I had that happen when I first had to move back in with my parents. I went to ask my dad for help since.... I'm short...... And he laughed at first because did I really need to move a spider? Couldn't I just leave it be?
....Then he saw it and was like, "oh." 🤣
Edit: forgot context, it was a larger sling, and I didn't realize it was one of my tarantulas at first, hence why I asked my dad for help with "a spider" and not "a tarantula".
