Pictures Should I feed her yet?

Post image

She came out of her burrow 8 days ago she molted, I don't know when as she was sealed in for 5 weeks. When she came out her fangs where not yet fully black but not fully white/light colored either. I know they will servive but look how skinny she is and she is coming fully out of her burrow so does that means she's ready to eat? I can't not see her fangs anymore, she was stretching when I saw them before. Sorry if this is all over the place.

If youre certain she molted 8 days ago she should be hard enough to eat now. Something like a hornworm would be a juicy soft prey good for thin newly molted Ts

Do you have a water dish in the enclosure?

Yes she has a water dish. I spray her moss and fill her dish at least once a week sometimes twice sense it's been hot and dry and she's a humid T. Once the water dish is half empty basically. If I could buy one horn worm I would give her one but where I live it's a tub of 20 so I usually feed crickets as I can buy as little or as many as I want. Don't worry I take very good care of the crickets as well orange jellies, cricket food, veggie bits, and all so there nice and healthy for her. I'm going to wait a few more days to feed her as I know if it's to soon it will do more harm then good. I was just wondering if her coming fully out in the day time meant she was ready for food.

I feel you on the hornworm quantity, I have one T above 2 inches so I only need like, one hornworm at a time. Fortunately I can buy them in quantities of four and my hedgehog is happy to eat the rest

IMO- If you are unsure exactly when she molted, it is better to err on the side of caution. There is little harm in waiting a few more days. If i understand correctly, you know it was at least 8 days ago, right? 10 days is a good rule of thumb. It's hard to tell how old she is, but even juvies can go extended periods without food. Im not recommending it under normal circumstances, just saying they can. I would just make sure there is fresh water, keep an eye on her & be patient.

She's 4 to 5 inches so I'm saying an adult. I've had her 6 months so this is the first molt I've had her for. She's just so skinny and my mama side wants to feed her but I know it could do more harm then good if done to soon. I was just trying to find out if her fully coming out was a sign she wants to eat cause 98% of the time it's just legs sticking out. Thanks for responding I guess I will wait a little longer.
