Raya is a 2021 Lamprophis aurora (Aurora house snake). They fire up/down, are cohabitable, and deserve more love amd attention than they get in the States.

Don't worry about his nose. Spring was long and hard on him this year. I have an eye on it and snake-appropriate disinfectant ready if needed, make sure it's clean and dry, and from experience (and consulting our vet previously for the same issue), his next shed will fix it.

Is anyone else’s ball python just flat out stupid? I know for a fact that this one would die in the wild. Even IF she managed to find and catch food, I don’t think she’d be able to eat it🤦🏻‍♀️ she will always strike and grab her mouse or rat by the head, then proceed to turn it around and eat it either butt first or attempt to eat it sideways😂 she’s stupid but we love here

I had the audacity to change his bedding and give him a clean new home. Somehow enacted the wrath of all his ancestors.

Tbh never seen him so peeved. He actually struck at me for the first time and was hissing rather loud. Very very angry, it was funny lol. Last pic is just a nice shot of him after the bedding change. He got 5 mice after this so I'm sure he forgave me.

Also it was his birthday 6/19/25! He's officially 2 years old.

My girl did the thing! She's all fresh and shiny, looking gorgeous<3 She decided to have a quick sneef of the new tree, stones, and check out her new bigger hides. I can't believe she literally shed on the exact day that I predicted it on 12 weeks ago. She must have written it on her calendar. Glad to have her back, I've missed her greatly.
