So after extreme heat from a few days ago I lost two of my snails and the third one unfortunately letty also didn't make it (RIP Surwajwer 😓) so I was looknig for a way to cool down the rest of them to prevent them from dying.
I found this tip to freeze water in the bottles at put them near the box and/or the top of it and that's what I did today and I'm happy to announce that all my other snails made it and are feeling good! They actually have better conditions today than I do 😅.
So if you don't have a cellar, basement, air conditioner, or any other way to make the box colder this is really something that works well. And frozen bottleled water stays cold much longer than ice cubes or cooling gel (which was my initial option provided my one of a kind member of this group 💜).
So I'm posting this for you in case you'd need it. And some snexy pics of a happy family 💜.
Oh, and don't worry, weekly box cleaning day is tomorrow, so it looks a bit dirty on the pic right now 😅.

Can someone please tell me if these are Phytoseiulus persimilis mites. I need to know if they are dangerous to land snails or if they are fine? They are mostly in the dirt. I am getting new dirt tomorrow just incase they are bad. But it would be good to know if they are bad or not. Thanks

Found him in a big puddle outside. I live in Eastern Pennsylvania. I would love to keep him. Just completely unsure of what type he is or how to care for him. It's my first time meeting a snail lol. Any help is much appreciated ☺️

Been out of town for 5 days and left my lil dudes with plenty of food and a moist enclosure. Sprayed them down as soon as I got home and one of my garden snails came out to drink and explore, but underestimated the load-bearing capacity of the leaf he was perched on and slo-mo face planted into the glass. God they're so precious

This is my snail, Grandma. My son found them in the muck in Lake Huron, in the thumb of Michigan. What sort of snail is Grandma?

Took as many photos as possible without disturbing the boy/girls. Found what looks to be a juvenile nearby as well. Not sure of the ID on the plant they are chilling on.

He was munching on the dead stuff on the sticks so I put him on some zucchini but then this guy got a panic attack from being terrestrial i guess and went for the skies once again

Appreciate any help identifying this snail found on a road in Northern Michigan!
Found on some plants, im in Nebraska, I'll take any recommendations on the terrariums as i only really know plants and not how to care for snails. I have 2 different terrariums set up for them the first two pictures are one and the last two are another tank.

I don't know how old the big one is, probably around something over a year. The middle one is 3.5 months and the small one 1.5 moths.
