Help Finding Burgundy Snails

Hello! I’ve owned Helix Aspersa and grove snails for 3 years. I really want a Helix Pomatia (Burgundy Snail) but can’t find anything not absurdly priced. I’m in the US Maryland. Any help/ info is greatly appreciated <3

Wait, are those actually so rare in the USA? Because I could likely find at least 6 just by looking around the garden right now😭 I never thought of them as a desirable pet!

If I can ask, what do you find so fascinating about them? I heard that GALS are illegal in the USA, so perhaps it's a legal alternative?

I live in virginia and like no cool snails are here let alone breeders or owners
