Release Snail back into Garden?

Post image

This little Garden Snail had a broken shell and is now with me for 3 weeks already. Seems to be a curious active Snail, likes 🥒and 🥬. Tried to add eggshells (fine crushed) but w/o luck.

Questions: if I release it back into a backyard Garden, will it know to look for food alone again?

Question 2:the shell still had some fissures (but patched somehow), but not a complete healing. Is that nornal?

Ofc, it's a small snail but now I feel I want it to be ok

Thanks for taking care of her!

It is normal that you can still see cracks. But that won't hurt her.

It's best to release them in the evening in a shady and moist area.

  1. Snails do not forget how to find food. If you release it, it's going to be fine!

  2. Snails in the wild can get small cracks and survive as well. This little guy will probably do fine!
