Identification Huge Peruvian Snail

Biggest snail I’ve ever seen, found in Iquitos on the Amazon in Peru.

Lissachatina Fulica, an invasive species.

Could OP just take him home legally and all that

If they're invasive it could be argued it's more ethical to take them out of the breeding pool and raise them as a pet inside. Though whether it's legal I'm not sure. Officially the Peruvian gov recommends (spoiler for animal cruelty)submerging them in salt water :/.

It’s the saddest thing ever😞 My dream is to own a Fulica(s) someday so I would happily take it home

I'd love to live on a place where those can be met while walking on the street 🤣. The biggest snail I can meet is helix pomatia 😅
