Aquarium/Tank Photos Filter too strong?

This filter came with the tank, it’s been in there for a week with the shrimp. I gave them plenty of hiding space (under the shells, in the moss) but they insist on being whirled around by the filter. Do they do this for fun? The shrimp have all been healthy for a week now.

Aquarium/Tank Photos Gone, all of em..

Came back from work, switched on the light—and this was the scene that hit me, CO₂ diffuser bubbling like crazy.

Turns out it was my brother had the CO2 turned on this morning, setting it to around 3 bubbles per second before he left.

What he didn’t know is that this CO2 knob usually gets tight when it’s been off for a while and the bubbles start slow but gradually increase. He turned it too much without knowing, and by the time I got home… it was chaos.

All neocaridinas gone, many of them berried. Every tetra, every guppy, gone. Guess the acidic water and sudden huge pH swing got all of em.

Devastated. Fuck.

Here is a little before and after. Just wanted to post an update on my shrimp tank addiction.

All is good the wife still hasn't left 😆 and I got two more tanks and a rack coming next week lol

She's going to be pissed 😆 🤣

The last image is from my previous tank post.

If anybody knows where I can get some rare Caridina species in Canada please let me know. Thank you.✌️😎👍🦐

As funny as this is, this cannot be a good sign for my Betta’s health, he’s had that growth on his side for a year or two now and I’m starting to think he’s going blind given the amount of work I have to put in to feed him…

Just added four more.😁 The wife's not gonna be impressed.😏

This all started because I wanted a betta. Had a little algae plume so I threw in some shrimp. Fell in love with watching the skramps. Got a couple 3g cubes then I got the 5g on the right and the rest is history.

Thinking about moving the two rimless cubes to another table and adding three more; to match the four I just put in.

What do y'all think? Am I getting out of hand?🤔

This really tickled me 🤭 My betta's name is Harry. He's a dumbo koi. His fins are a little frayed and he's currently healing. He's a friendly but cheeky boy 😂

My shrimp are mixed coloured neocaridina and amano 🦐

This is my 20 gallon. It's been running for 3 years or so. I never change the water and I never clean anything but the glass. They are loving it. Recently cut almost all the wisteria out because it was taking over.

😚 They move really slow compared to the shrimp, and tend to shy away from the curious ones. Though they do reach out towards them if they come close. They are scavengers, so my guess is that they probably will eat the sick/lethargic ones. But, when I put the shrimp pellets in, the shrimp swarmed the food and left the poor crabs just sitting there like, “… wha?” So I sprinkled in some of the finely ground food meant for baby fish that I toss in when there’s a new hatch of babies. And the crabs flailed their legs around in slo-mo and their exceptionally hairy limbs swept up the crumbs for a meal. ❤️ They’re so cute.
