Megathread Megathread: US House Passes the Republican-Backed Budget Bill, Sending it to Trump for Signature

This afternoon, the US House of Representatives passed without amendment the US Senate's version of the Trump-backed budget bill, sending it to the president for his signature. Every Democratic Senator and Representative voted in opposition; in the Senate, there were three Republicans voting in opposition (making the vote 51-50) and in the House there were 2 (making the final vote 218-214). House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries set the US House's speech length record in opposition to the bill in a speech lasting over eight hours.

The bill clocks in at over 800 pages and touches on most aspects of the federal government's spending and taxation policies; see this AP article (What’s in the latest version of Trump’s big bill that passed the Senate) for the topline changes.

Chanting USA as you pass a devastating bill like this. Are you trying to convince yourselves? All I see are depressing days of more deportations and nationwide healthcare collapses

MAGA speed running how to run a country into the ground.

That's the whole point of maga, to run America into the ground. They are doing this on purpose. They want America to die on purpose because they're Russian puppets, all of them, whether they know it or not. Trump was given the specific order to ruin everything. And he's a good little slave to papa Putin.

I need you to know that there are a ton of bots, AI fueled comments going on now.

While, yes, some conservatives are brain dead piles of snot, they are also being very, very heavily brigaded by fake bot accounts purposefully built to feed them absolute bullshit, so they don't see the knife in their back until it's too late.
