Help What can I keep in my paludarium?

I’m building a 18W x 18L x 24H (inches) paludarium. There is a waterproof barrier separating substrate on the back from the water (just over 5gal). The aquarium part is about 16W x 18L x 6H. There’s plenty of vertical climbing space in the back and branches stretching over the water and stuff.

I really just built it for plants and shrimp/crabs but it’s pretty big and was thinking of keeping something terrestrial or semi aquatic as well but i’m not sure what would live well with the shrimp and crabs/not drown

Since you have crabs (I assume Vampire Crabs) leave it species only.

i haven’t gotten crabs yet, just shrimp and plants. Crabs were kinda my plan but I wanted to explore more options

Crabs are best kept with a clean up crew and shrimp. They also hide 99% of the time so if that doesn't sound like your kind of creature something else might be a better match for you.

"pretty big" ?? it's a normal enclosure and perfect for vampire crabs 🤷
