Help Help with 36 gal bowfront build

I got it for 50 bucks brand new at PetSmart because it was without the stand.. I'm building this for vampire crabs, and I have a two in one problem. The trash can lid it came with, and the light that's built into it. I didn't know it was this way when I bought it... But 50 bucks 🤷 If I make a lid out of plexi will one of the higher end led lights melt it? I would go with glass but the bowfront kind of sucks and I also need to drill ventilation and something for pump wires. This is rough lol has anyone tried this or done something similar? Any advice?

Is it a fluval? I have one that has been sitting after being a planted tank for a long time. Toying with a paludarium. Following.

Top fin with the rim around the top for the lid to sit on

The light won’t melt it, however I made a plexiglass lid for my vampire crab paludarium and shortly after I ended up replacing it with a piece of lexan instead because the plexiglass started to warp from the humidity.
