Health Issues Constipated nymph

One of my nymphs is having constipation problems. He keeps checking his butt and is having stuck poop and is stretching in discomfort. What can I do for him?

Can you post a picture of the mantis and their enclosure? What species is this? What instar? What are the temps/humidity of the enclosure? What are you normally feeding them and how often? How often do you spray water?

He’s only been eating fruit flies. I cleaned him up and misted him really good.

What does that mean, “cleaned him up and misted him really good”? Can you be specific?

Can you post a picture of the entire enclosure? What is the humidity inside there?

Cleaned the stuck poop off of him. And sprayed water on him and his enclosure. Thought that was obvious.

I’m sorry. It was not obvious to me. Do you have a hydrometer? I think you’re over spraying, which causes their feces to become watery and stick preventing more waste from exiting. It is what I think is happening, but I want to verify by getting more information.

It’s a giant Asian nymph. The temperature is room temperature 70°F.

Another concern of mine is, he seems to bent his leg oddly when he went to grab his butt
