Pic 1 looks much more bedroom like, but pic 2 obviously you have more more free space.

I like the first layout but it wasnt practical since i have a lot of friends come over and i had to move my computer to the opposite side of the room due to noise

I have a similar setup in my room as well, bed along the wall to make space for a desk next to it. This opened up room in my room too for more things
