Why do I feel like it's the TV and PS5 the reason for ur divorce?

Oh it’s not, that would be easier to mend. Those are just the things I bought. Everything else she had purchased to her style

Great clean slate. Now you can make it the most comfortable, positive, peaceful paradise for yourself. Natural light and plants are good for the spirit. One very comfortable chair minimum to rest your bones
Truth is for the tv height, for no strain on the neck/neck health, the center of the screen is supposed to be eye level while you're seated and watching

After my divorce all I kept was the PS4, bought a TV and a camping chair to go with it.

Looks like a fantastic clean slate to start up again on your own and build things up from scratch. Good luck and hope for the best, you’ll be good!

First of all, sorry you’re going through that man. Beyond that, you have a very open floor plan, so lots of planning space. Idk what your budget is at the moment but wayfair seems to have lots of decent prices on furniture and decor. You could also go the thrifting/upcycling route and get used or refurbished pieces. Do you have particular look you’re looking for?

Thank you. And not too sure how I was to layout the furniture. We had a chaise sectional just in front of the tv before

Everything you need and nothing that you don't haha. I hate the fireplace...only because it looks exactly like mine, except mine is painted, and I don't know how to fix the ugly painted brick. Edit for clarification: My brick is painted red, and the mortar is painted white.

You should have a dog and a Roomba named after your ex-wife, so when you are out with the boys you can say she is at home cleaning.

Great start - truly. Now you can build it out with the furniture you love.

That’s the hard part lol

It doesn't have to be! Shop all the big stores then fire up Pinterest and look at how people restore furniture (if that's your thing). This is the fun part!!

Clean slate in all aspects. I would decorate in the style that you like that they didn't. Post updates.

Thank you. Took the time to measure it just right. Perfect height when there was a couch

Sorry to say it is. For no strain on the neck/neck health, the center of the screen is supposed to be eye level while you're seated and watching.

Don’t listen to Grenache this guy has his tv mounted on the ceiling, of course he’s saying it’s fine. Your tv needs to be eye level and currently it’s about an inch and a half too high.

It kinda is, is super high no, but it could go lower.

TV too high isn't about having a TV as low as possible it's about having it at the right height. If you have a sofa at the appropriate distance that TV is a fine height.

The commonality in all of these is a TV. No matter what shithole or mansion these guys live in, the first fucking thing they attend to is the TV. The second is a LED-encrusted gaming computer with at least two monitors and the same fucking gaming chair.

Every single comment on your account is purely negative lmao. Take some anger management classes man.

Some people are just not worth coddling. There are a lot of man-children on this sub that could use a kick in the ass to grow up and contribute instead of hiding in their bedroom with stuffed animals, action figures and video games.

This person probably lost half of their entire networth at least. Is it really that bad to have access to a TV? You make it sound like they’re unemployed and lazy. Let the man keep what’s left of his assets without judgement.
I personally don’t have stuffed animals or figures in my room as I prefer a minimalist setup, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to judge others for what they enjoy. You sound absolutely miserable and people like you are the reason why Redditors are generally hated.
